Julia was amazing! Best service and experience. I just moved here and needed a new stylist. She made me feel like I have always been one of her clients and my hair turned out beautiful.

I've been getting my hair done by Abbie P. for I don't even know how many year- probably nearing a decade. She is AMAZING! She did my hair for my wedding and always has my color perfect for every day use and special occasions. I saw a bad review about one of the independent renters named Abby (as well) online and felt the need to reassure anyone looking up reviews for Axis Salon that Abbie the owner is incredible at what she does.

Unfortunately, I had a traumatizing experience at this salon. The hairdresser informed me that she would be finished by 9 pm. I repeatedly reminded her that my ride was waiting outside and that I had to work, but the later it got, the more anxious I became. I chose to leave the salon around 12:40 pm, closer to 1 pm, as it became clear that she was not working efficiently. Despite my repeated reminders, she failed to prioritize my appointment, and I was forced to put my own needs first. My hair was like string after the treatment I chose to do. The experience was disastrous, with over six hours of improper service that left my hair severely damaged and unfinished. The final result bore no resemblance to the picture we had discussed. Although I was unhappy, I decided to pay $230 for the service. My hairdresser, Abby, seemed completely unfocused on my hair throughout the appointment, which was further complicated by her attention being diverted to another dissatisfied client. As a result, my hair was done incorrectly, with an uneven, dark color and grey highlights. I was relieved to be able to fix it myself at home and received compliments on my handiwork, which was a sad commentary on the salon's failure to deliver a satisfactory experience.

Karolina is not only skilled and professional but will make you feel valued and important. If you have thick and coarse Latina hair, I cannot recommend her enough. I have gone through years of being terrified of getting my haircut because of so many botched cuts I’ve gotten in the past. But she completely understood my hair texture. Even though I have a lot of thick hair, she never made me feel like I was hassle To cut and color. Normally, other stylist would make comments about it or that their arms were hurting or that they have to go mix yet again another bowl, but not her. She actually made me feel good about the fact that I have a lot of hair! What?! She is such a kind and positive person, that you will not only leave her chair feeling great in appearance but also very encouraged. I also like this location, it feels very chic and welcoming. Only issue I had was that even though the color she did was very beautiful, it was not what I wanted, though I brought a picture and very specific instructions (I know... I am that client). So, I’m a bit disappointed on what I spent for color and even went back to get it fixed and still wasn’t what I asked for. It wasn’t bad at all, just wasn’t what I wanted. (I still will go back for haircuts for sure).

Amazing experience as always! 15+ years of always leaving happy happy happy! Abbie takes her time and communicates what she's doing. Wouldn't trust anyone else doing my hair!! Thanks for being the BEST

After some time to reflect, I feel it’s important to share my experience as a warning to others. I had an extremely disappointing and costly experience at this salon, where an individual working there—allegedly an independent contractor—took $1,030 from me under circumstances I still consider to be dishonest. While the salon claims these stylists are independent, I find it concerning that the owner manages their schedules and promotes them on the salon’s official pages, yet takes no responsibility when things go wrong. This blurs the line between contractor and employee accountability. Though I’ve removed my original post, I believe in protecting future clients from a situation like mine. Please be cautious when doing business here, and ask very clear questions about who is truly responsible for your services and money. Respone to your reply: Venmo temporarily gave me my money back but then took it back so therefore I never received my refund. Wow, as a landlord—and clearly a deeply devoted business owner—you must be so proud of the thieves you call stylists. Really shows how much you care!

I was looking everywhere for a last minute appointment to get my hair done before going out of town before a business trip last week. Luckily, I was able to get in with Julia at Axis, and I was not disappointed! She was phenomenal and definitely knows hair. She didn’t have the specific color I wanted Saturday, so we did the cut and she went out and bought it so we could do the color Tuesday before I left for my trip. Everything was exactly what I wanted, and I have gotten nothing but compliments on my hair since. I also love how willing she is to answer questions I have about my hair and to teach me how to properly care for my hair. I have already set up my next appointment with her.
