Hair Say Spalon

Update: The Salon owner called and asked for the opportunity to make it right within 30 minutes of my post. She quickly re-did the service from scratch including a blowout and heat style and the end result is polished and beautiful. She was friendly, apologetic, and has earned my future business. I'll post pictures shortly. ----- Original post: Salon is nice and appears to be clean and well appointed. The Sunday appointments were really convenient as many salons aren't open. My mother and the stylist got along well and she was satisfied with her style-- however her hair is fine and thinning whereas mine is not. The quoted amount was $55 for the service. There was a problem with the hair dryer preventing it from heating up and the stylist at first suggested sending me out into the world with half dry pin curls as she needed to get home. I advised that a presentable, finished style was needed as discussed and agreed to. She proceeded to blame the unfinished, unkempt look on my even length hair cut ( just done about 2-3 weeks ago). Honestly, I think she just doesn't know how to handle my hair type and it would have been better to just say so up front. My hair is all over the place right now-- frizzy, kinda wavy, curly, and straight when the desired result was a polished finished style. To top it off, I was charged more than agreed to. I am a very generous tipper, but I could not justify anything here. Even so, I still gave a bit over 10% though I suspect the cost was padded knowing it to be an unsatisfactory finish for which most reasonable customers wouldn't tip at all.

I brought my sensitive scalped daughter in today to help detangle some knots. The hairdressers spent almost 3 hours and took their time, giving her time to rest, and worked a miracle on her hair. My daughter left all smiles and feels beautiful! Thank you to everyone who works there for their kindness and patience. We will definitely be going back!😄

Went in and asked for curtain bangs, wispy layers and 6 inches off my extremely long hair. Left with side bangs and layers that are barely noticeable. She cut off about 9 inches and then said she couldnt do shorter layers because she'd have to cut my length off more than she already did. If you can't execute the hair cut, just say that. What a nice experience on my birthday. Been stewing on it all day. And now they wont even answer 15 min before closing. Rough blow dry technique and waxed my eye brows uneven. 84 bucks including the decent tip I gave her was NOT worth it. I just want a refund. If you're elderly or looking for a basic unacceptable hair cut, this is your place. Absolutely bs, I left so mad I could barely speak to her. Don't waste your money here. That lady should lose her job.

Got a haircut and a root touch-up yesterday. I asked for curtain bangs specifically, but the stylist gave straight bangs. It is the second time she has done that. My fault for going back again. Absolutely devastated. I have a concert and my birthday coming up shortly. Cannot even look at myself in the mirror anymore. EDIT: The owner called me after the previous incident and said she could offer me a free haircut. I went to her today to get a trim. She charged me for a full haircut with 10 bucks off 😀 Washed my hair, barely touched it with a towel, and said my hair holds so much water. Weird. Whatever. Istg I saw some product left on my hair when it was being combed. I was under the impression that the haircut was free, so I wasn't really saying anything, which was bothering me. The blow-dry was uneven asl and she asked which side I would part. I said the side part looks better (cuz u can see in the pic that my hair was so uneven, only parting sideways could save it). She said I can do it at home. 😀 Not to mention the hair tugging while blow drying. I am a super non-confrontational person. Still doesn't justify getting service like this. Good luck!

Love this salon and staff! My daughter and I see Sabina and she always goes above & beyond for us and works her magic getting us scheduled back to back without a problem. She keeps up on the newest trends and is so friendly & fun. I am happy to call her my friend.
