I cannot say enough good things about Abigayle. I came in feeling really nervous about getting my hair extensions taken out, but from the moment she started, she made me feel completely at ease. She was so gentle, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, and she took the time to explain everything she was doing so I never felt rushed or unsure. After removing my extensions, she truly worked magic my hair looked and felt so healthy, soft, and refreshed, which I honestly didn’t expect. Beyond her talent, Abigayle is just such a sweet, personable soul. Her energy is so calming and uplifting, and she has a way of making you feel genuinely comfortable and cared for while you’re in her chair. I trusted her 100% with my hair, and she absolutely delivered. She made my entire experience wonderful, and honestly, she alone makes me want to continue coming back to this salon. If you’re looking for someone who is not only amazing at what they do but also makes you feel confident and relaxed, Abigayle is that stylist.

To start off I want to say everyone in the salon was very nice that does not mean I was happy with the service I received. My biggest concern was wanting something different I asked for a balayage keeping my roots the same and lightening up the rest I specifically asked not to have a brassiness, yellow, orange color. I actually NOW Alike the way my hair was before besides needing a hair cut I HAD some brassiness but now it’s completely brassy. I was attached to my hair but it def needed a good cut, my stylist asked me where I part my hair I showed her, she acknowledged then after we finish the foils, rinsing she continues to cut my hair and has my part the OPPOSITE way of which I part my hair. It’s like she didn’t pay attention or did whatever she wanted. I should have listened to the reviews but I wanted something the same day and they accommodated to my schedule. I haven’t had my hair done in 2 years and this is the reason why. My hair turned out brassy, which I didn’t want. The tips of my hair is very blonde the rest is brassy/ yellow. She didn’t ask if I liked my hair, she went on break when my hair was in the foil which is fine it’s a long process we need a break. But came back and all I could smell is cigarettes. I was upset how short my hair is but realized it needed to be cut to look healthier but bc she parted it the opposite way it def looks uneven. The color is awful, she didn’t use toner because "it lifted great" but I don’t think she cared about what I wanted to achieve. Didn’t ask me if I liked it. I paid nearly 400$ and was going to pay for the extensions but ended up liking the length and will keep up with trims. Now I have to wait months to have someone else fix this bronzy, yellow, brassy mess. I work in high end customer service and you should ALWAYS listen to your client. I told her I didn’t want my hair curled because I had plans and my hair doesn’t hold curls, I didn’t want to straighten my hair and she proceeds and says "i want to curl it"??? I did end up tipping her 20% because we all deserve to be paid for our work even if it’s awful. But next time I will schedule and app with a professional who actually knows what they’re doing, idc if I’m out of pocket 700. Every time I asked a question she could never get me a straight forward answer she just didn’t know and definitely doesn’t know how to balayage. I hate making reviews but what I hate worse is wasting 4 hours of my time and 400$ for hair that I hate. First 3 photos is what I wanted Other 2 is my hair now and the last one is before. I can’t believe how yellowish/ gold my hair is now it definitely looked better before I walked in that place. Maybe next time actually tone it.

I got a reservation last minute, and Cara took care of me! She was wonderful and knew what i wanted with my hair! Would definitely recommend her! ☺️ The other staff as well are super welcoming!

This was my very first at 209 salon in McKinney. I was very nervous after not having a cut for 2 years and as soon as I walked in, everyone was so nice and friendly! Mindy was fantastic!!!! Told her exactly what I wanted and she worked her magic. She also gave the best scalp massage when washing my hair. I can’t wait for the next visit!

You guys with a STRAIGHT face my stylist (Emily) said this was a full head of hair 😭💀 PSA. Ladies if you have a pixie or short hair please look for a specialist! I was extremely disappointed and was charged $400 for two rows installed . During our appointment I mentioned I wanted to have a full head of hair . She mentioned that 180 grams would be more than enough and I trusted her PROFESSIONAL opinion . I was back a week later for install and she left me like this ! I immediately expressed that I was not happy with the result that it looked like I had a mullet and she just said "unfortunately with your short hair sometimes you need to do more " so I said, how can we fix this what do we need to do and she said that 50 g of itips would fix it but honestly I just picked up the itips because I don’t trust her anymore. If she wasn’t experienced in installing extensions on short hair, I would’ve expected for her to express that and not take on my install. I would’ve purchased whatever amount of hair she would’ve suggested, the reason why I’m upset is because as a professional you should never let your client walk out of your salon looking like this. Luckily I work from home, but I still have to show up to the office sometimes and honestly I was mortified, embarrassed, self-conscious, and I wanted to cry. As a professional stylist they should understand the impact that they have on women and how a simple haircut hairstyle hair color can affect our mental being , if I were a professional hairstylist, I would definitely put myself in my clients shoes and really consider Would I rock this hair installation ?because ultimately if you wouldn’t wear it yourself, you should never in good conscience send your client out like that . Ultimately she said she would install my itips (50grams) for an additional $200, I feel she didn’t even feel bad or realized the damage she caused . Update I had my BF who is not a professional re install the same amount of hair Emily installed and look at the before and after pictures! What a huge difference - service was done at second location but the management is same

I had an amazing experience at 209 Salons in McKinney with Marcia! She gave me a fantastic shag haircut styled perfectly like Sally Field’s iconic look in Smokey and the Bandit. Marcia really listened to what I wanted and nailed the style with precision and flair. The salon atmosphere was welcoming and professional, and I left feeling confident and refreshed. Highly recommend Marcia if you want a skilled stylist who truly understands vintage-inspired cuts with a modern touch!
