Mane Statement Salon & Barber (City Girls Beauty Salon)

We have a daughter who is on the autism spectrum and it’s sometimes hard to find stylist to do our daughter’s hair. Candi Johnson did such a great job on our daughter hair, she was patient, gentle, and kind. Our daughter’s hair came out great and we will definitely be back again.

It was okay but I went there to have her take my sew in down. But I had got my sew in from one of the girls that used to work for her named sheena. I was directed to sheena from myas website since sheena was available. I went to sheena shop thinking it was the city girls shop not knowing it was a totally different shop. Now sheena ripped the hell out of my edges and she said she was an instructor and been doing this for years. My edges are gone yall its gonna take me a couple months to get them back if they come back. Mya acted as if she did not know sheena was on her website but sheena knew she was in myas website which makes no sense. Then mya could clearly see my edges were ripped out I went to another salon and they said I now have a receding hair line. Then sheena was supposed to take it down for free and she would not communicate to get it corrected so I had to pay for it to be done. Just a horrible experience. I had scabs forming on my edges that were not just small bumps. I had those white bumps too and they hurt like hell. The style was cute if you have your hair down but when I went to pull it back or behind my ear all I saw was all forehead and it was just traumatizing. Then after getting my hair taken out I asked mya about braids for my daughter sent a text and everything no response but she sent a text to confirm I was coming for my appointment. Once again I'm not sure how experienced her girls are because from another salon, a professional. That girl just took my 200 and didnt care about her quality of work. Oh by the way sheenas shop is beyouty salon or something like that. I just know that it ain't the actual word beauty. I really need my money back since I could only last 2 weeks and mya should have taken it down for free to avoid this especially since sheena was on her website. She is now taken down from myas salon

Candi did my daughter’s hair and earned a LIFETIME customer today!! Lucy is so tender headed and I thought for sure she was going to want to leave but she loved Candi and is so confident and ready for her first day of kindergarten tomorrow!! Thanks for everything, Candi! Can’t wait for her next appointment! ❤️

I called several times to make an appointment and she replied that she would call me back and send pictures of what I needed to be done. I sent pictures, but she never called back so I called her back once again. she said she would look at the pictures and call me right back, she didn't, so I called her back. The customer service is terrible and they don't have any knowledge of trying to help me and do general business. I do not recommend them and have not even gotten any service done, because they wasn't even business enough to call back or book me for the service. Disappointed

I was really excited to find this salon and have braids done for my daughter. I received a text the night before our appointment asking us to reschedule for the upcoming Monday. No problem. But I have never and will never wait over an hour for my appointment with any stylist. After an hour and zero communication from the stylist we had to walk back to find her and tell her we were leaving as it is a time consuming process and we didn’t have more time to wait in our schedule. After an entire hour and she still had not come out to get my daughter. To top it off, the customer service (and I use that term lightly) was so poor I will not reschedule. The stylist acted as though she could care less, never apologized or asked to reschedule for us before we left, simply said okay. Like, you’re not upset at all about your customer service or that you just lost a customer that faithfully takes her daughter to get braids every eight weeks? Mmk. I’ll keep my 220 plus tip! Ridiculous.
