Atousa always makes my hair look incredible! I walk in, and she instantly knows how to freshen up my look in ways I didn’t even know I needed. The result is always fabulous! She’s artistic, consistent, and a true joy to be around. After two hours, you’ll want to stick around a chat more! I’ve been seeing Atousa for 7+ year, and I won’t go to anyone else. 10/10 recommend!

I am very happy with this salon; lively energy, but not too noisy, overwhelming or pretentious. Centrally located in downtown La Mesa, Ca. The salon has a sweet bee – themed decor, good layout, and plenty of products to choose from if needed. There is generally a front receptionist who can help you if you are a walk-in. Street parking close by is metered, farther away, unmetered if you want to get a few extra steps in. My stylist is Dara; I have seen her for many years for color which she is truly amazing with, now mostly for haircuts since I now color my hair with plant dye/stain using henna/indigo on my hair at home. She always gets it right and knows my hair and my style well, is very intuitive at knowing what I want even if I can’t explain it that well (pictures help). Very experienced, great colorist, great stylist, great haircuts, great person too ! She is also good at recommending products and educating you on what your hair might need and why, without ever being pushy about sales. Prices for services varies depending on the type and complexity, of course. I am very happy with the salon and especially my stylist Dara. Check it out if you are looking for a new salon. They have many stylists to choose from. 🐝

I came in today to get my hair done by Dara and she did amazing. I came in about a month or two ago with a hair dye disaster and she has made my hair look better than I could ever imagine. I came back for a second time today to get my roots fixed and she did such an amazing job I look like a natural blond. Dara also gave me a quick trim and I have gotten so many compliments on my hair cut. If you want to get your hair done you have to have Dara do it.

This place is a vibe! Karen is amazing. I’ve been going to her for a while now, I’ve done the Rachel cut before and now a bob and every single time she nails it. I usually show her some fancy picture from the internet, and she always gives me exactly what I want and what will actually look good on me and my hair type. She really knows what she’s doing and you can tell she’s great at her job. I always walk out loving my hair. Highly recommend Karen if you want a cut you won’t regret!

Such a cute salon. Everyone was sweet and Atousa did an amazing job on my highlights! The color is absolutely beautiful, blends perfectly, and looks so natural and fresh. She really listened to what I wanted and executed it flawlessly. I’m beyond happy with the results and will definitely be back. Highly recommend her if you want gorgeous well done highlights!

This salon is chic and so welcoming! I appreciate seeing how the owner makes a genuine effort to improve the space for her team and for their clients. Karen is my go-to for taking care of my hair and getting it the way I’d like it every time! It’s always a joy catching up with her every month and getting the 5-star treatment from her. It’s worth the drive to see her for a clean cut!

I have been going to Jess for a few years. She is only the second stylist in my life I have returned to again and again. She’s highly skilled and makes me look like a million bucks (before and after photos to prove it). Also she’s so easy and fun to talk to. I’ve followed her to a couple of places and Honey and Hive is pretty cool too. I’ve met many other stylists there and they are all great people. I also love that the salon is super themed but also totally classy.
