Tousled Hair Salon

I had such a lovely time at Tousled today! I haven’t had a good curly cut in years and Zarayah and Rita’s expertise is so obvious, it was easy to relax and enjoy. The atmosphere and experience were lovely and I’m very happy with my cut.

Rita and her staff are knowledgeable, welcoming, and dedicated. I have been going to the salon for many years and l have always been very happy with my hair.

The staff were professional and friendly, and they really took the time to listen to what she wanted. She left feeling relaxed and happy with her hair — and she looked amazing, too! Definitely a top-notch salon. Highly recommended!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hair salon. My curls ended up being stretched out and frizzy, making it impossible to gauge the haircut's actual look until I got home and restyled my hair. When the owner turned me to the mirror after drying my hair, I couldn't help but nervously laugh at the horrendous result. I had to show her a picture of my well-styled hair, only for her to justify the frizz by saying, "we stretch them out here for volume." Despite providing a picture of my desired outcome via email and in-person, the result was nowhere close. I expressed my dissatisfaction and they charged me the full $225 despite my embarrassment and unhappiness. I would not return to this salon, nor would I recommend it to others based on this experience. The lack of consideration for preferences and the disappointment with the end result were significant letdowns. Below in red dress is the picture shown to the owner of my hair styled, and the other two are the result of how I left the salon.

Rita is incredible! She is very attentive, listens to your hair concerns/questions, and gives you what you want. I'm a curly gal, and Rita treated my hair with such tenderness and care. The atmosphere is so warm, friendly and cozy. Tousled Hair Salon is my salon in JC for sure <3

I fell in love with Rita the moment I met her! I absolutely love the salon and it is a total VIP experience. But more importantly it is an Aveda salon and I love Aveda products. I've been a fan of Aveda for many years. Rita is the top stylist and in the past has given me a fabulous haircut and it was the exact right color and highlights to do and and is the best shampoo head massage I ever had in my life! My color came out perfect and she blew out my hair beautifully and on top of that she is a hat maker and is going to make me a custom hat!

Tousled is everything a girl with curls needs. I am so happy I found this salon. Rita gave me a beautiful haircut and color. The music was great and she offered me beverages and snacks. The products used were Aveda, and other top of the line hair products perfect for my curls. I left happy and confident with some new products purchased from the salon. I highly recommend!
