I moved to the area a year ago and have cycled through multiple stylists due to location, professionalism, or affordability. I found Phyllis recommended on Reddit after I did a Google search of Black stylists in the area. I noticed Phyllis got pretty good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. The salon is clean and Phyllis is very professional and friendly. She did an assessment of my hair and then recommended the necessary treatment to get my hair healthier. I desperately needed a trim and she assisted. I think I will come here for the 3-4 month trim. She did a great job and I was satisfied with the service. I will say to check her website and to not rely on the booking site for accurate pricing. I see a lot of people in the reviews were surprised by the price. She does require that customers get a combination of at least 2 services.

Phyllis is the best! She is prompt and highly skilled. Her professionalism is top-notch, she works on one client at a time, and her salon provides a peaceful environment with great snacks to enjoy under the dryer. Her texture hair services, whether hydration treatments, keratin, curly perm, or natural hair maintenance, are unparalleled; the quality of my hair has improved tremendously.

Worst hair experience ever. My hair is healthy and has been maintained by a professional for a year, unfortunately she is closed due to health issues. I wanted a hair trim after two months of none, the level Phyllis chopped my hair is heartbreaking. I am big on length and healthy hair, my hair wasn’t damaged as I have never used chemicals on my hair. And have constantly maintained it with a lot money and efforts. She chopped my hair so low that when I got home my husband screamed. He asked me why did you let her do this to you. I am home crying. I literally booked mini hair trim and ended up paying for the trim and blow out $170 for me to get a huge hair cut that leaves me look so different. After a whole year of hard work to grow my length. She ruined my hair. I am not happy at all. All my hard work is gone. Oh and the wait was crazy but the stylist is quite friendly.

I searched for something and someone different. My hair was dry, breakage, and thinning. I found N’Joyable on a FB page and did my research! Well, I live in Central Jersey an hour away from Jersey City. From booking my first appointment, consultation and ,emails. Ms.Phyllis is so professional, informative and educated me on different products and which direction for healthy , strong hair I should go. Her recommendations were on POINT! I’m a relaxer gal!!! Well, no longer.. I decided on Keratin process! My focus and desire is my healthy, strong hair and for my hair to grow! Ms Phyllis is awesome! Her shop is CLEAN,cute, trendy, music, snacks, laughter, great area!! I felt like a princess 👸🏾 getting my hair washed and serviced rendered. I felt renewed, happy and confident and sassy! She TAUGHT me how to wrap my hair properly, use the flat iron correctly and temperature makes a BIG DIFFERENCE. Curl like a "C" 😉☺️ Well, I have been back 4 times!!!❤️🥳🥳🥳 and will return on December 14th! I even had my two best friends book appointments! They have been back twice!! The Monmouth County Girls!☺️☺️☺️ They are happy as well!! My daughter , she will be booking aswell 😊👸🏾 I’m so thankful that I came across N’Joyable Hair Salon 💇🏽‍♀️ . I’m no longer in a ruthless rut and no direction. Yes, this is a process and I have zero patience 😝🤣🤣😂, but.. it’s needed if I want healthy , strong tresses!! And NO GREASE! 😉😉😉😁😁😁😁 Thank you Ms Phyllis! You are a GEM 💎! Such a pleasure you are!!! And, my husband just loves my hair every time I return home from your salon 💇🏽‍♀️ 🧚🏾‍♀️❤️🥳

Phyllis is a wonderful, professional and very kind hairstylist. Her knowledge in haircare, styling, dying, relaxing is not only innovative but it’s far more advance than any other hair salons I’ve encountered in Canada and London (England). My hair has never been this healthy, naturally shining and the compliments I have received for my haircut has been ongoing! I truly am grateful to have met her and she really cares about your hair journey, how we can work together to elevate your look! I am impressed, pleasantly surprised and her clientele is top of the line as well! a fabulous experience! a wonderful human being! and more!! I applaud her hard work! Bravo! Bravo! Phyllis is fantastic! She takes time to learn about you and your hair and will provide individual advice about how to best care for your hair given your hair goals and lifestyle. After years of relaxers, I had decided to let my natural curls grow - but after a few years, I didn’t know how to manage my thick curls anymore. Phyllis recommended the keratin treatment which has been amazing. I can have the straight, sleek look I want with a blowout, but my curl pattern is maintained and it is not as harsh as the chemical relaxers I used to get which caused major hair breakage. My hair has never been longer or healthier. Plus, the salon is always very clean, Phyllis is courteous and professional, and most importantly, she runs on time. This is not one of those salons where you make an appointment and the stylist is working on 3 different people at once. I started going here when I used to live in Jersey City, but even after moving to Brooklyn, it’s still worth the trip back to get my hair done.
