I’ve always been so intimated by getting layers, as I was worried it would take too much length off. I finally decided to do it and booked with Tessa and it was the BEST haircut I’ve ever received. My hair feels so much lighter and softer after the conditioning treatment, and my hair looks absolutely stunning while it still kept the length. I’ve gone to ladies who’ve been cutting hair for decades and none of them have ever given me a haircut as good as Tessa did! Strongly recommend.

After 5 years of bad salon experiences, I finally left a place in love with my hair! My highlights and haircut were done amazingly. On top of that, everyone was so friendly and the space is super cute—it made the whole experience even better.

I gave jan a big challenge, and she totally transformed me! I came in with BLEACHEDDD hair years of bleaching and toning it at home, very yellow and just botched and she put in the workkkk i came out with a beautiful natural brunette which was exactly what i was going for! i am so happy, major confident boost! beautiful salon, and the lady shadowing her was the sweetest!

I go to Jan Hamel for my haircuts. I have very thick, natural curly hair. She is amazing. I'm sure all of the stylists here are. Jan does such a awesome job on my hair. Only regret is that I didn't find her years ago! Guarantee she will not disappoint. Thank you Jan!

TLDR, I cut my own hair (mistake) and Jan fixed it and then some, holy cow! She made perfect layers for my thick, naturally wavy hair and knew how to properly frame my face.

My hometown hairdresser recently moved away and I procrastinated as long as possible on finding another. I have naturally curly, thick hair that adds to my migraines when it's too long. I found North Hair Design on google and after reading their amazing reviews, I booked an appointment. Jan was spectacular! Not only did she understand curly hair, but she rocked with it. She suggested some minor changes to my cut to help make it frame my face better. Not only that, but she also took the time to help me understand how to best style and care for my curls. I did not mention that this salon is over an hour away from my house, but I can 100% guarantee you that I will continue to make that drive every time I need my hair cut!
