It’s really hard to find a good Korean hairstylist in Hacienda, and since I’m pretty picky about K-beauty styles, I used to drive all the way to Koreatown to get my hair done. But this hairstylist is Korean, and you can instantly tell how experienced she is just by the way she handles the scissors. My scalp is really sensitive — it usually burns or stings the moment hair dye touches it — but here, I didn’t feel any of that at all, which was amazing. She told me she never uses harsh chemicals on her clients’ hair, and you can really feel that through the gentle products she uses. The prices are super reasonable, and the quality of the products — all scalp-friendly — makes it even better. And the best part? She finishes everything off with a gorgeous curl styling at the end — such a nice touch! 💁🏻‍♀️✨ If you’re someone who drives all the way to K-town just to get your hair done, I highly recommend Abigail in Hacienda Heights!

This is my second visit! Sally is truly an amazing colorist! I have really dark hair with a hint of red, and she created the most gorgeous ash brown color for me. It’s so natural and elegant, exactly the color I wanted. This place is truly a hidden gem. Make sure to ask for Sally when you visit!

It’s taken me a few days to write this because of the emotional journey it put me through. As a woman, our hair is one of our physical treasures especially when you don’t have much of it. I am utterly disappointed in the service at this salon and their care for my hair. I don’t know the lady’s name but she was Korean with blondish highlights. I am new to the neighborhood and wanted to try a new salon where I can be a regular and gave this salon a chance. I explained that I ONLY wanted 1.5 inches cut across and wanted to keep my layers the way they were, I also asked for root coverage and explained that because my hair is thinning and I don’t have a lot of hair I was scared of all the chemicals but I know I had to dye for root coverage. As I explained the Korean lady said she did not understand me to I tried to explain slower and I asked her "Do you understand? Keep layers?" she said "Yes". I started seeing my hair on the floor of chunks of 3 - 4 inches and I told her I didn’t want it short and she had already cut it and said she had to even it out. She then dyed my hair and although she added petroleum jelly on my skin I went home with large black patches on my forehead from the dye. When she charged me, she tried charging me $120 even though I had called and she had quoted me $100 for the tip trim and root coverage. She then said the next time I came she would use high-quality hair dye. I was taken back because she never told me she had high-quality hair dye even though that is what I told her was my concern at the beginning of my visit. I asked her "why did you not tell me this at the beginning?" and she said to me "You were blah, blah, blah, blah", she said verbatim. So it made sense to me that she did not take seriously any of the instructions I gave her. She took off years of my hair which I had tried to grow because I don’t have a lot of hair and then omitted that she had better quality dye even though I had told her I was concerned about the dye chemicals. This entire week after my hair has been falling in chunks and I hate to think that it is because of the dye, since this is not normal for my scalp. She also suggested I bought some shampoo/conditioner which I did believing her in the moment before she summarized my instructions as "blah, blah, blah, blah". I trusted her with my hair and she didn’t not take my concern or my requests that I paid for seriously. She did not show true care for my hair. Not understanding English properly is not an excuse for not trying to understand instructions for a paid service, especially something as delicate as woman’s hair that takes years to grow. Even though I tried to explain slowly and asked if she understood me, it was clear to me she didn’t care or try to understand me as a paying customer. Unfortunately, I will not go back and based on my experience I would not recommend this place. Picture shows how long my hair was right before 🙁

I brought a picture to show the lady what I wanted. The lady that helped me had short hair, she was rude, unable to communicate simple English, criticized my hair, tried to cut it short although I only allowed her to cut 2 inches off the length. Didn’t de tangled my hair before cutting it. Told me to speed de tangling it, when I was just trying to stop the pain from her pulling on my hair! I finally couldn’t take it. And she thinned out my hair without asking me. I stopped the haircut mid-cut and ran out of there. My half of my hair was completely ruined. I’m still having a hard time fixing it.

Sally changed my daughter’s hair for her 9th birthday. We really satisfied with color and hair cut. We will definitely come again

I always cut my hair in this hair salon! She’s very thoughtful and keep trying to make sure I’m ok. And I think she’s the specialist of short hair cut for women as well 🙂 I love the style how she cut! Highly rec this hair salon + I got perm today and kinda love it!!!! It looks soooo lovely🩵🙌

I had my hair colored by Sally, and she was incredibly patient throughout the entire process. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. The results were fantastic—I couldn’t be happier!
