After being with my hairdresser in another state for 22 years, I moved back home to SW MI. I had a very difficult time finding the right person. After 8 hairdressers, I found Gene. Great cut and color. It’s a 90 min drive but he’s worth it. Very happy.

Gene, the owner of Edge Salon is a love! His business is inviting, comfortable, and a great place to watch Grand Rapids happen! Great location in a great neighborhood! Ample, safe parking, too! When I first went to Gene, from a great referral, he listened to me about what I really wanted, and he was 100% perfect from the very start! Since the first time I want to see him, which I believe was over two (2) years ago, and because of his expertise and amazing skills, I get at least 20+ compliments every time I see him! He’s kind, witty and takes what he does so seriously! I’ll never willingly leave him!!! His hair cuts are extraordinary and he knows color like the back of his hand! I actually love going to see him for many reasons!!

Gene is the best! Never on whole my life I was so happy with my hair! He is not your hairstylist, he is a friend and even if I will move out of Grand Rapids I will not let anyone touch my hair without talk to Gene first and he can gives the right instructions 😊. Wish you the best Gene!

I have been going to The Edge for one year now. I have my hair cut and colored every 6 weeks. My experiences @ The Edge are the BEST I've ever had. The Salon is immaculate, stylish and fun. Laura and Gene are professional, talented and very caring. The Client's they have are diverse, people who really care about their appearances. I don't have the nicest hair but with Laura doing my hair I feel the prettiest I've ever looked. I feel BLESSED and LUCKY to have discovered The Edge and I drive all the way from Big Rapids. It's well worth it. Thank You Gene and Laura for all you do.

I LOVE the Edge. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Laura has cut my hair for several years, she is so accommodating and professional. I have never had a bad haircut from Laura. Gene is the owner and takes the time to know not only his clients but everyone who comes into the salon. The Edge is a great Salon!

Gene is awesome. Found my new Salon. Highly recommend. Took my daughter there to get her hair dyed and all I can say is Gene did a fantastic job. Should have gone here for my hair cut.
