Avant Garde salon

My son and I went to avant Garde Salon yesterday, Shauna cut both of our hair for the first time. I have a pixie cut and showed her some pictures of the cut I would like and what my haircut normally looks like. We discussed the texture of my hair and any trouble areas. She didn’t bat an eye and went to work. She took charge with care and concern for my request. She exceeded my expectations. The cut is great, super easy to fix and looks amazing. Thank you Shawna

Loved my experience here! The salon has a great atmosphere - warm and welcoming, and they offer drinks (tea/canned) to clients. The haircut service includes shampoo and conditioning. My stylist, Helen, did a fantastic job on my mid-length layers. She was knowledgeable, skilled, and made me feel very comfortable, while perfecly executing what I wanted. They also have discounts for new customers and UF affiliates. Will be returning. Highly recommend Helen!

I had such a great experience with Candice. She really listened to what I wanted and made me feel comfortable the entire time. My hair turned out even better than I imagined—healthy, styled beautifully, and exactly what I hoped for. You can tell she truly cares about her work and her clients. I got my hair done by Brittany and almost cried. I recently got my hair highlighted at another salon and thought my hair was ruined, and after visited two other salons I didn't think I would be able to love my hair again for a long time. Brittany was so kind and funny and worked MIRACLES. She saw my inspiration picture and after speaking with me she worked her magic and gave me exactly what I had imagined my dream hair would look like. I never ever write reviews but after leaving my appointment I felt I had to. Brittany has a new loyal and thankful customer.

Lena was absolutely amazing! Totally nailed the color I was going for with my partial foil and my cut is perfect. Not many hairdressers in Gainesville, Fl have the skill to work with textured Dominican hair but Lena masters it. My hair is super silky -Thank you!

I went to Avant Garde Salon for the first time to add more layers and get a treatment for my dry, frizzy hair. Brittany gave me exactly the amount of layering I wanted, and the treatment really helped smooth things out. Overall, I’m happy with how my hair looks and feels.
