Ammonia FREE! Simple. Convenient. If you want full service treatment like a spa, go to another salon. The salon concept here is incredibly simple and convenient from start to finish. You can even book an appointment the night before. During my visit, I noticed the chairs were sanitized twice within the 2-3 hours I was there, which I really appreciated. Here's how the process works: 1. You arrive and are greeted by whichever staff member sees you first. 2. You check in at the kiosk (you can also self check-in through the app). 3. You choose any available chair. 4. A staff member comes to you for a consultation and helps match your hair color. Inspiration photos are welcome, which makes the process easier. Tidbit: I did have to wait an extra hour for the appropriate artist to properly match my hair color, and I honestly didn't mind. I appreciated the honesty and professionalism from the initial consultation artist and the GM who personally checked in with me. 5. My artist, Briana, worked her magic using the foil coloring technique. 6. My color was washed, followed by toner, and then another wash. 7. You blow dry your own hair. This is not a full-service salon, which is actually one of the reasons I love the concept. After sitting for a few hours during the coloring process, I don't mind drying my own hair. I usually air dry anyway, so it's nice to have the flexibility to simply leave with damp hair if you're in a rush. 8. Check out and tip! This was my first hair coloring experience with Madison Reed Hair, and I'm so glad I didn't let the negative reviews influence me. Great experience!The operator who colored my roots chose the perfect color and was professional and expert in applying. Since I needed to save costs, after the shampoo I chose to blow dry my own hair. The brushes and blow dryer were professional (and sanitary) and there was a variety of product I could use free of charge. I will be saving $75 a month by going to Madison Reed.

Have been going to Madison Reed for the past 3 years regularly. Love that they have salons in so many cities in the US, so even when I'm traveling, I can go in for a root touch up. The membership is TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY! And people always stop me to tell me they love my hair color.

I absolutely love the fact that this place is so natural in the products that they use. The experience from start to finish was great! Everybody was friendly, and really nice. The place was clean, very beautifully decorated, I was offered tea and coffee, I felt involved in the process, asked to show pictures in my opinion of what I wanted to do. And definitely affordable for the kind of services. The two things I would suggest is they didn’t know I was a first-time customer, I walked in and was greeted from a distance and only after I had been there for a little while… Which made me feel a little awkward walking in. I didn’t know what I needed to do, like there wasn’t any check encounter or anything just made me feel awkward for my first time. And again, being my first time I had no idea how dry my hair was going to be after adding bleach highlights, I would’ve loved some extra moisturizer or even at least given the suggestion to add moisturizer to the hair. My hair was so tangled for a few days afterwards until I figured it out. Everything else was fantastic!

This business concept is the BEST! Absolutely love coming here for my "unlimited" root touch-ups every 2 1/2 - 3 weeks (being a pro member) for one low monthly price! Love that you can pick up a home kit too if going out of town! Lots of hair coloring options, treatments, frequent specials and super friendly colorists! Love the open, laid back vibe of this color bar and being able to dry and style your own hair if you choose to afterwards for more savings! Lots of great products to use for free while you style and great selection to purchase if you want too. A must try!

The staff were all very patient and friendly and my hair turned out better than I was hoping for. I have very long hair down to my waist. I was nervous that it would take too long for them as they are more of an express service. They took the proper amount of time to help me achieve the highlights that I wanted. They didn’t try to rush, explained the process and how to book more time on follow up appointments. I would definitely recommend them!
