Kaan Hair Design

If I could give more than five stars, I would. After wearing extensions for a few years, I came to John at Kaan Hair in Delray looking for a fresh cut to bring life back to my hair, along with highlights to lighten my roots. This is hands down the best haircut I’ve ever had. My hair feels healthy and revived, and the color is absolutely beautiful with perfect highlight placement. I’ve officially found my new go-to salon. They truly made me feel beautiful.

I had an amazing experience with Engin! He really listened to what I wanted and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. He uses top-quality products, and you can tell right away that he’s a true expert in his craft. My hair came out even better than I expected, and I’ve been getting so many compliments. Highly recommend Engin and Kaan Hair Design!!!

Decent cut! Decided to try this place out as I don’t know where a local place that do longer men’s hair. Staff was friendly. Engin did my cut. Nice guy. Definitely a quick, swift and a little rough cut, think it was done in about 10 minutes. So it felt like there wasn’t much attention to detail. He didn’t seem too interested in the reference photo/videos but I trust the expert. Basically just asked for shortening the back (mullet), add some texture to the cut and thin it out slightly. I’m currently rocking a middle part. Walked out the door and thought the cut was pretty good. A little longer in the back than I’d like but I thought it would curl up slightly more when it dried but it didn’t so that is on me. But still the cut was good overall. Went from good to decent after noticing some of the hairs in front of my head cut abnormally shorter about 2 days later that were definitely not there prior to the haircut. Not really sure where along the 10 min this happened but it did. Luckily it isn’t too noticeable after the hair is dried. Place is worth a try I’d say.

I just saw Engin for a much needed haircut and glaze, and he did the most incredible cut and style on my hair! I have long, straight hair that tangled very easily, lots of choppy layers that had grown out. When I came in, I knew I wanted to chop at least 5 inches off it. I showed him pictures, talked about how I wanted it to look, and he did it PERFECTLY! It has shape, body, movement and the color is GORGEOUS!!! 100% go see Engin in Delray Town Center — you’ll be so happy you did!

I am not one to write a bad review on a business, but I have never been treated so poorly and have never seen such unprofessionalism in a salon owner. The day after I got my hair done with Kaan, I reached out to him to let him know I was not happy with my color. I myself am a hair stylist who has worked in a salon for 8 years so I am always understanding and know that we don’t always get it right so I reached out to him in a professional, non-confrontational manner. He was extremely disrespectful, and refused to resolve the issue. He told me that my hair was hard to lighten because of my baby hairs even though that has never been an issue for me and he never mentioned that when I was getting my hair done. He threatened me by saying that if I wrote a bad review, that he would write a bad review about me at the salon I work at even though he has never seen me personally for a service. He also told me " If there is still hair on your head, you are not getting a refund"… It made me so upset especially with the amount of money I paid at his salon. After I knew there was no resolving the issue with Kaan, I then had to go to another salon and since I was considered a color correction, I had to pay an additional $600 to fix my hair and sat in the chair for 7 hours to correct what Kaan did and refused to fix. I wanted to do the right thing by letting Kaan know that I was unhappy, and to see what we could do, but he was very unprofessional about the situation. I am unsure on how he can have his own salon and treat his clients this way. I will clearly never be going back to his salon ever again and hope this does not happen to anyone else.

Engin is a master at his craft coupled with his heartfelt kindness in his approach to cutting hair. Besides using excellent products he understands color and his technique for cutting hair is exceptional. Kaan Salon is the place to go if excellence is what you want to experience. Jessica Shuler

Love my hair cut from Engin. First time here after reading good reviews. He is very fast and cut exactly as I requested. My blowout looked great. Salon staff were all nice. I'll be back and would recommend.
