Review about stylist Marlee Hildebrand (@hairbymarlz on Instagram). Sooo long story short, Marlee did my hair terribly when I requested a partial balayage with a root shadow. She said it would be $200. At the end of the appt is when she decided to tell me it’s actually going to be $250. Well, I did not get any root shadow that I paid for, some bleached hair was still white as it didn’t get any toner, and she turned me into a tiger. I was too shy to say it in the moment so I messaged her on Instagram the next day saying it turned out really poorly and sent pics. She replied a couple of days later and offered to fix it in the salon, but I’m from out of town and was already gone. So, I tried to just bite the bullet and get it redone elsewhere, but it was so expensive— so I messaged her again asking if I can have some sort of a refund… well, she said no and BLOCKED ME. How absurd. She does balayage but dumping a clump of bleach on a whole strand, no separation in the strand to have a dimensional or ‘lived in’ look. Also you can see in the pictures one side of my side burns is BLEACH BLONDE while the other is still my natural brunette color?? Looks so bad. Ugh. Wasn’t going to write this review until I saw she blocked me for disagreeing with her. Complete lack of professionalism or professional skill in blonding.

I come here to get my nails done by Arianna. she's the best in the game, I've been going to her for almost 10 years now. Every person who works here is so friendly and positive, if I got my hair done I'd definitely choose to come here in a heart beat.

I don’t trust my blonde to anyone else! I’ve been a client of Kelly’s for a long time. I highly recommend her services and the salon has great products and retail items that are great for gift giving or a little something for yourself!

I’ve traveled all the way from Utah to have my hair done. Chris straightened my hair with a permanent keratin straightener and colored it at the same time. It was a long appointment, but it went quickly and he did an amazing job! I asked him to choose a color that he thought would look good. I have to say that I love the color that he chose and I want to keep my hair this color and the shape for as long as I can. I think the only time I am going to leave Utah to go to California again is to have my hair done by Desa Salon.

Kelly assessed, communicated/asked/ confirmed, ‘painted’, cut and styled my hair like no other stylist has done! She gives you her quality attentiveness & educated skills that leads to top notch results that last beyond the visit! Not your typical loud or snooty salon; Desa is beautiful & clean with good vibes as soon as you walk in! An overall excellent experience! Why pay the same at other salons for anything less than what you’ll receive here?!

This was the best haircut I’ve ever had and everyone who worked there was incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly! I typically go to barbershops and thought salons were for a different type of hair, but the people here at Desa Salon are experts in all different types and gave me insightful advice on how to treat and style my hair. When they were out of stock of the hair cream I wanted to buy, the owner GAVE ME her personal bottle from her supplies! That’s not just good customer service, that’s genuine kindness. I can’t imagine going anywhere else after this experience and highly recommend this salon to anyone! (Even if you’re a Groupon User 😉)
