Sun Hair Salon

Came to get a haircut here on a whim (was going for the bakery next door). So, I pretty much just asked the lady to cut my hair short in whatever style she thinks it’s suitable (i.e., currently popular in Korea). The outcome was refreshing and new, as in it’s a style I’ve never had before, so hopefully my hair will grow out well from here. Perhaps because I was chatting with the lady in Korean, and I have to return to PA, so she offered free hair-washing after my cut (this is typically a standard in Asia). I definitely will revisit this place again if I can’t go back to Asia for a perm.

As far as I know, the only Asian barber/hair salon in the area. She is friendly and easygoing. No issues ever here and reasonable prices. Been a regular for a while and no plans on stopping!

she cuts your hair based on what SHE thinks would look good, not what you want. She doesn't communicate what she's going to do, nor does she listen. To top it all off, she does not do a good job. Coming from a Korean, she definitely holds up to the stereotype of an older Korean person who doesn't really listen to younger people

The owner is really professional and is great at working with many types of hair. A Korean friend of mine and I both go here. He's always happy with his haircut. I trust the owner to do a great job with mine as well and haven't been disappointed. Really great business and a super helpful owner.

Highly not recommended. I did the korean hair straightening. She burned my hair & from the front its so burned that its so short now & pointy. It became so fragile & brittle, it literally breaks whenever I comb my hair or just slide my hands through it. I did the Japanese straightening before many times all of which didn't damage my hair & I never lost so much hair after doing it. She claims she took classes of how to do it & she kept telling me how the Japanese one has been damaging my hair & the Korean one is better. If you love your hair, DON’T DO YOUR HAIR AT THIS SALON!!! I WILL SUE HER.

The hair cutter spent 5 minutes on cutting my long hair and another 6 minutes on sweeping the floors. No hair wash and no hair styling. But she still charged me full price. It was a bad hair cut. I could probably do a better job myself.

The owner( a Korean lady) pushed me to buy $60 shampoo and I was at first very hesitant. She kept talking how good the shampoo was and how I needed it. After I brought it home, it was so bad and I would say even cheapest hair shampoo at Walmart was better than her shampoo!!!! Very bad at cutting my hair too. Will never come again!
