I got my haircut by Kyle at Volar Salon and I have finally found my person. I have really thick hair and have had a really hard time finding someone who can remove bulk from my hair while still giving me seamless looking layers. Kyle listened closely to what I wanted, asked clarifying questions as I gave him requirements (I wanted layers, a more streamlined look with some shape, less frizz, and debulking). Once we established what my natural part was and the length I wanted (had to be long enough for a ponytail) he went to work. Looking at my hairline, he recommended that I get long bangs so I don't keep pulling my front baby hairs back into a ponytail and I trusted him enough to say yes. He's incredibly precise, fast, and most importantly gave me exactly what I wanted. I'm really happy to have found a hair stylist who can tell what would look good on me, knows instantly what he needs to do when he touched my hair, listens to feedback but also has ideas of his own. I'm coming to Kyle for all of my future haircuts! Volar Salon was open, bright, spacious, with 2000s pop making it a welcoming atmosphere. I had no problems getting an appointment and the entire process from hair wash to cut, to blow dry and style was less than 45 minutes. Kyle is on his English learning journey so if you don't speak Mandarin, it would be a good idea to bring a photo or two of what style you are thinking about so he has a visual. I highly recommend and will return.

AL is the best hair stylist I have had. I will happily drive out of my way to get my haircut by him. The salon is beautiful and the music is always good. I send every lady who knows how to value a great stylist to go see Al. Thank you for making me always look my best.

I came in recently for a wolf cut and was assigned to Kyle. Unfortunately he did not cut my hair as I wanted but still cut it nicely. I would've appreciated it to be communicated in some way that he was unable to do a wolf cut, I completely understand he is not fluent in English tho. After my haircut I still needed to cut it myself at home to make it fit the picture I had originally showed. There were a few things during the appointment that did make me uncomfortable, when Kyle started to brush my hair he used a brush that already had hair on it and the hair flew into my mouth. I had to take it off and was very put off by that. As I was getting the haircut Kyle would be pressed up onto my body as I was sat down and I couldn't move away. Towards the end of the haircut while it was being styled Kyle had added alot of volume to the top, I personally don't like alot of volume there since it makes my face shape look funny. I tried to communicate the best I could if he could flatten it and that's when he got irritated and called over another stylist to talk abt it and they laughed about what I asked for. He began to put so much volume at the top and I tried to communicate again that I meant for it to be flattened. Another hairstylist asked for me to clarify what I wanted and I told him. Then when communicated to Kyle he understood, but he was visibly frustrated. I was okay with not getting the exact haircut I wanted but after the overall experience was not pleasant and made me feel uncomfortable and sad after the appointment. I included my reference photos and the haircut I received. Edit: After communicating with the Volar Salon ig account they were open to hear about my experience to make it right! I appreciated it highly

After getting my hair ruined by another place, I came here hoping to fix my hair. Felix was assigned to me and he was amazing! He was very skilled, professional, and friendly. First picture was before and second picture was after. He fixed it without making my hair too short, blended it somehow, and styled it perfectly. 5 stars!!!

This is my 3rd or 4th time at Volar Salon. I always rely on Al to make sure my ideas work out. Always appreciate honesty and some creative ideas from the stylist! He knows what he's doing. Bleaching my hair to 90% / white is always amazing to me. I don't know how they don't completely fry my hair. It comes out great and not yellow at all. Friends and strangers compliment my hair. So I always recommend them to Volar. Hoping to come again for more fun hair styles. Al always makes you feel great about yourself. Thank you for being the best! 💜🩷✨️

Ivan did a great job cutting my hair! The haircut wasn’t what I had expected to receive since I went in for more of a trim BUT I ended up really liking it and I felt like he cut my hair thinking of what would suit me best. He did amazing with the layers and really knew how to frame my round face. He cut my hair in a way it looks good even when it’s not styled. I recommend him if you are looking for a layered hair cut that suits your face shape.

Volar Salon never disappoints. The team is incredibly talented and always up to date with the latest hair trends and techniques. They really listen to what you want and deliver results that feel modern and personalized. On top of that, everyone is friendly, welcoming, and professional. Highly recommend!
