Paige is the BEST! Being a previous professional Pivot Point hairstylist, I received the most amazing and articulate haircut from Paige. I was long overdue for a cut, shape, and style. Finding a stylist who wouldn't do a hack job on my waist-length hair was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. From a professional viewpoint, TRUST me, Paige is AMAZING. Especially when it comes to a "Universal Layered" cut with long hair. PERFECTION, If you need a great LIFE-Long stylist, I highly recommend Paige. And as for the salon atmosphere, phenomenally tranquil and soothing. With the added benefit of the most delightful welcome from Mary Alice. My entire experience was a sheer delight from beginning to end. Thank you, Paige:-)

If you're going in for any shade of red, DANI is who you want. Sparrow uses a clean color brand: Original Mineral (O&M), which is not easy to find. DANI is a color genius, super into what she does, and really listens to what you want, and offers ideas about how to make it even nicer. Plus, she keeps track of your formula in a way that you can work together to improve it based on your preferences as you live with it. Dani is Chicago's best colorist. Plus the salon's appointment manager, Mary Alice is super organized and eager to help. Love this little salon so much.

Sheba has been cutting my hairs for years (so many years 🧓) and is, obviously, the best. This week I got my first massage with Ben and it was as exceptional as you would expect from everything Sparrow does. I rarely get massages in part because figuring out where to go can be overwhelming. Just go see Ben at Sparrow. Clean & beautiful space, he's so nice and welcoming, the massage felt fantastic. What more can you ask for?

I’ve been getting my curls cut by Sheba since I moved to Chicago a few years ago, and I truly won’t trust anyone else. I’ve moved neighborhoods and still make the trip just to sit in her chair. She has an artistic eye and an incredible ability to bring your vision to life, whether it’s a cut, color, or both, while always protecting the health of your hair. Plus, she’s hilarious and effortlessly cool. The space is beautiful, calming, and full of good energy—and their commitment to sustainability and being proudly anti-Am*z*n is the icing on the cake.

I have had two massages with Ben so far and they without a doubt two of the best messages I’ve ever had. The first was a 60 minute massage and it was somehow both relaxing and really got into my knotty areas in my neck and back. The second was manual lymph massage and wow was that an experience—I didn’t know what to expect but it was transcendent. It was gentle pressure but it’s like it woke my whole body up. The hour flew by and I walked out of there feeling so healthy and alive. Also the space is gorgeous, everyone is kind, and Sheba, who has cut my hair for 10+ years, is the best.

I got an excellent facial with Maddie yesterday. The whole experience was relaxing and pleasurable and my skin is glowing now. Sheba has been cutting my hair for years and is a true artist, she makes my curls come to life like no other. I love that the salon cares about environmental issues and avoids plastics and toxic ingredients, they value the people working there, from receptionist to stylists and it shows in the service one receives. In short- at Sparrow they are exemplary in how they implement their values.

I've been getting my hair cut by Courtney for years (best stylist in Chicago!! <3) and finally started taking advantage of Sparrow's additional services. I can't say enough good things about the massage therapist, Ben! I have chronic back pain and have a very hard time releasing tension in my spine and Ben must be a magician because I've never felt so relaxed during a massage. He is incredibly thoughtful in his approach and makes sure each session is customized to my needs at the time. Do yourself a favor and get a massage at Sparrow.
