I cannot say enough amazing things about Leo and his team. He took me from a coppery brown to a platinum, cool-toned blonde in ONE session, and the results completely exceeded my expectations. The color is flawless—clean, icy, and exactly what I asked for, with zero brassiness. From start to finish, the entire experience was perfect. Leo is incredibly skilled, attentive, and patient. He truly listened to my instructions and executed them with precision. Even though language could have been a barrier, he never let it be—communication was seamless, thoughtful, and respectful the entire time, which made me feel so comfortable and confident in his hands. His assistants were also phenomenal—professional, kind, and on point every step of the way. The teamwork, care, and attention to detail really stood out and made the whole service feel elevated and stress-free. If you’re looking for someone who is a true artist, who respects your vision, and who can deliver next-level blonde results, Leo is the one. Michael is AMAZING! I first saw him back in March when I wanted to dye my hair milk tea brown, and he absolutely nailed it. Fast forward to today, I decided to go platinum blonde — and honestly, I was scared since I have naturally black Asian hair. After 8 hours of patience, precision, and pure talent, my hair turned out stunning. Michael is so detailed, caring, and truly listens to what you want. I only trust him with my hair😍 so so happy. 🤩👩🏼‍🦳

Worst place I’ve ever been. I booked an appointment with Leo first, but communication was impossible because he doesn’t speak any English — he didn’t even say hello. The entire appointment I had to rely on gestures. They applied bleach to my hair and despite repeatedly asking them to please check it because I did not want my hair to burn, they left the bleach on for over 3 hours. I ended up with severely damaged hair. The only person who spoke English (whose name I never learned) told me, "We have to burn your hair a little to get the color." I was very clear from the beginning that I did not care about the color — my only concern was not burning my hair. And of course they charged me $350 Terrible experience. I would not recommend this place.

Michael is amazing! He is so nice, patient, and very attentive. I showed him the hair color I wanted, and he continually checks on my hair to make sure the color matches what I wanted throughout service. He is also very skilled and detail oriented, and I am so happy with the results! Will come again!

I booked a hair coloring appointment with Michael about a week ago and he did a PHENOMENAL job working on my hair! 🥹 If you're looking to get your hair colored but are anxious like me when it comes to finding a new hairstylist, I highly recommend booking with Michael. (more detailed review below) I bleach & color my hair a lot, but it had grown out a lot since the last time I bleached/colored it. I spent a lot of time looking for hairstylists in the area who have experience working with dark Asian hair, because I was afraid of going to someone who would ruin my hair. Before the appointment, I had faded denim/grayish blue with roots that had grown out a LOT. I wanted my hair bleached as light as possible so I could have it colored silver, so it had to be double bleached. Michael took a lot of care when bleaching my hair - even though we had to double bleach it, my hair was able to withstand it, and my scalp was fine, too! Even now, a week later, my hair feels strong and doesn't feel overly dry or damaged. I've made sure to be gentle with it and take care of it, but I also believe this is thanks to the quality of the product that was used in my hair and the effort Michael put into the process. I also wanted to note that during the process, my hair was pretty stubborn in that I had some old red color that was refusing to lighten. Michael spent extra time trying to lighten it as much as he could, which I am incredibly grateful for 🙏 I forgot to mention to him that I had some leftover color and I really appreciate that he went out of his way to fix this, even though it took more time than expected (my fault!). Thanks to all of that, when we finally put the silver on my hair, my hair was light enough that the silver came out PERFECTLY on my hair, and I've been complimented on it every time I go out! Thank you again Michael for the hard work and care you put into working with my hair, and thank you also to all the staff at S&M Salon for creating such a friendly and welcoming environment to be in! <3

I needed to find a new hair salon and was nervous about trying a new place. After reading reviews, I booked with Michael and he did an amazing job!!!! He gave me exactly what I asked for which was face framing layers and taking weight out with thinning shears. I love the cut. Very adorable ($50 cut), especially in the city and I was able to call and book an appointment for the following day, no wait! (For reference, I have super straight fine Asian hair)

I trust Sam with my hair - he used great products, was very detail oriented, and very professional. The salon is very clean too! Will definitely go back for another color!
