Very satisfied with all my services but most impressed by Jennifer and her cut. She listened to me, we talked thoroughly, she looked at all my inspo pics. She felt the bulk in my hair that I was nervous having to deal with when I wore my hair in a normal wash and go. She thinned my hair out in all the right places. I’m very impressed! Will be back soon 🙂

An amazing experience! Jennifer and Lisa really made my experience exceptional. I got one of Jennifer's signature pixie cuts. She evaluated my hair, talked me through the process, and was very honest without being harsh. I love my haircut. Definitely returning!

two stars because the salon is clean, the atmosphere is welcoming and jennifer does a great job cutting. great salon for older women. not so great salon for young women who are looking for more age appropriate and modern styles. after my second visit there, i will not be returning. i had an appointment booked for 3pm. arrived at 2:30 and left at 6pm. ridiculous. on the website when booking it says that my appointments would last an hour. i want to mention that the shop was NOT crowded. but, jennifer seems to accept more clients than she can handle at once... or, she’s taking so long "creating content" that appointments begin to overlap. there were 3 women sitting underneath the dryers waiting with me while she began someone else in her chair. i’m all for multitasking, but working on 4 heads at once while requiring clients to make an appointment is inconsiderate of their time. what’s the point of the appointment? jennifer deals with older clientele. if you’re looking to get a pixie done by her and you’re under the age of 40, i wouldn’t recommend. everyone gets the same feathered kind of style, which you can see displayed on her instagram. everyone isn’t going in there and requesting that, i think it’s the only pixie style she knows how to do. i took inspo photos in and extensions (during my second visit) so that the look i wanted could be achieved. she completely disregarded what i asked for and gave me what she wanted me to have. this also led to a HUGE price difference once i got to the register. there are multiple women that "work" there who sit and stare the whole time you’re being serviced. very uncomfortable feeling. if you don’t have a relaxer, she will charge you for a "silkpress", which is odd… especially when i booked for a wash, blow dry & style which is $100. left spending $200. i have very fine hair, a flat iron shouldn’t be considered a "silkpress"… they’re two different things and i mentioned this at the register to the receptionist and she kind of brushed me off stating that it’s because my hair is natural. if you don’t want a camera in your face, i’d recommend letting her know before hand, or going somewhere else. she’s all about her content. i personally do not mind, but it was to my surprise that i would be videoed both times that i went. my first visit, she asked me if i liked my hair and i told her that the style made me look old… her response was "you look your age". i’m 26, my whole family agreed that the style wasn’t age appropriate… in conclusion, if you’re 40+, have a lot of time on your hands, don’t mind being watched and recorded, are okay with a surprise total, then this is the perfect salon for you! please check yelp review as well when considering this salon. UPDATE, in response to J.Jean's response to my review: I was never offered any light refreshments. You're still not acknowledging that you did NOT give me what I asked for, nor did you mention that you were not giving me what I asked for. Clearly there are things that you are trying to deem normal, but many reviews think other wise.

I had a wonderful experience. Everyone is so pleasant. I was looking for a new stylist who could work with my shedding, thinning hair that had broken off badly in some areas. I had a great shampoo and treatment and Jennifer the stylist is the owner and a hair loss specialist. She really educated me about the causes and next steps. I am excited about my hair journey. I highly recommend J Jean Claude Salon.

The price changed at the register. I was charged 40 extra dollars for layers that aren't noticeable. There are long strings that keep getting caught when I brush my hair. I was told that instead of the sewin being 250, it was 275 because she had to curl it and that straight hair is more expensive than curly hair. I ran that by people and no one has heard that. All things I don't mind if it's discussed. If I'm paying 675 for a sewin I shouldn't be stringing thread and handing it to my stylest, or assisting with the set up. I was there for 5 hours, and nothing was done to treat my hair underneath because of lack of time. It was not a $675 experience. The hair was beautiful when I left, but she put so much gel and product in my hair that the hair is now dirty and less manegable less then a week later. My hairstylist was nice enough but I would not recommend anyone come here.

J Jean-Claude Salon was an amazing experience; first impressions are everything. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by an exceptional receptionist, and the service I received in the back from my stylist "Jennifer" was just as impressive. All of the stylists were welcoming and professional, which made the experience even more refreshing. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Jenn was very professional and knowledgeable. She was able to speak to me about the concerns I was having with my hair and scalp. She made several recommendations on how to address my concerns, and allowed me to choose an option I was most comfortable with.
