Alexis was so kind and patient when I called with a hair emergency for my birthday. She helped me decide on a style plus the hair I’d need to get and found a way to get me on the schedule ASAP! My stylist Kania walked me through the style I chose and reassured me along the way. She did a wonderful job and my half up half down quickweave looks so good! She was personable and fun. I could definitely tell her hands are blessed! I absolutely recommend her and will return to try more styles. The shop as a whole has a good vibe, they all seem to enjoy working together and helping one another. They had great music and snacks/beverages available. They were busy non stop and I see why 🙂

First time goingto this salon for a silk press based on the photos in their reviews. The results shown online looked smooth, silky, and well-executed, so I expected a similar outcome, especially for the price. Unfortunately, my experience did not match those expectations. My hair came out stiff, not silky at all, and lacked movement. It looked and felt nothing like a proper silk press. For what I paid, I expected an exceptional result, not something that felt rushed or poorly executed. I requested a refund due to dissatisfaction, and instead I was told to come back in so they could redo the silk press. I declined because that would require applying even more heat to my hair, which I felt was a bad suggestion and not in my best interest. At that point, trust was already lost. Based on the technique used and the final result, it did not seem like the stylist was well-versed in silk presses or followed the proper process. Overall, the service did not align with the salon’s advertised work or pricing.

I️ have had my hair done at this establishment for a while now. Every time I️ come, I️ have such a great experience. I️ have a low cut and have had a hard time finding stylists who can take care of my hair. Salon 527 makes sure they take care of me and they keep me satisfied. Ive had my hair in a natural curly state for the last 4 years or so. So now that my hair had gotten a little length and thickness, I wanted to try a silk press. I was very particular in my search to ensure I’d have the best possible outcome. I was nervous! And Miah did not disappoint!! She was very friendly, knowledgeable, HONEST about the condition of my hair and what was needed, and immediately claimed it as "our" hair. If your looking for a knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and affordable hairstylist, I recommend her for sure!! Thanks again!! Oh and they had snacks!

Miah from salon 527 was AMAZINGGGG. A little backstory I just moved to Charlotte about a year ago. I’ve been looking for a hairstylist that can correctly perform a versatile sew-in and after a year really searching around from Concord area Charlotte areas salon, 527 specifically Miah was the best. She was able to do a full 360 versatile sewing with two parts and able put into a ponytail. She was amazing !!!!!! Def going back !!!!

Both of my experiences here have been phenomenal. I just have to share that the first time I walked in with a hair dilemma the day before a photoshoot, even though Shantel was leaving for the day she stayed to color hair for me! Ami did a great job on my sew-in and was so nice. I believe they are passionate about their craft. I just had an appointment with Shantel today and her wash is sooo thorough and relaxing. I nearly fell asleep. She is so skilled and swift at her braid down and she styled my hair in wand curls for my upcoming pageant. I was searching for a consistent salon in Charlotte and I’m so happy to finally have found one. Everyone is professional, the vibes are great and their customer service standard is nothing less than excellence. Oh and the wanded curls is their RAW burmese curly hair, its still soft and healthy after processing it for color and highlights. I don’t usually leave hair reviews but you can tell the health from the last blown out photo, worth every penny. Thank you Shantel and Salon527 team!!!

Miah was AMAZING! Truly takes hair health seriously and the sew-in was giving SCALP. Booking was no headache, everyone was professional, and the atmosphere just gave old school hair salon— just girls being girls! Love it here and love miah!
