Update December 26, 2025: I won my dispute against them( attached). This place feels like a scam — and the owner’s condescending attitude made everything worse. I needed a balayage without bleach and that would have given me the color I wanted( I wasn’t given this option). I refused the balayage due to the price jump that already occurred. I spent over $240 on a color service that barely showed up at all. I was originally quoted around $150, but once I sat in the chair, the price jumped to $190 because a "more experienced" stylist took over — something that was never clearly explained. I was also told I’d need a bleaching treatment for brighter results, but no one mentioned that without it, the color wouldn’t show up at all. I basically paid hundreds of dollars for a result that looks the same as before. I even joked before leaving, "Well, at least I got pampered, because there’s no difference in my hair." Then came the most disappointing part — the owner’s behavior. Not only did she shush me in the salon and tell me to "keep it down," but when she called me later, she was incredibly condescending, arrogant, and dismissive. She repeatedly threw her "years of experience" in my face, offered no apology, and made no effort to make things right. She even said she doesn’t need more customers and that she wasn’t "trying to price-gouge." Instead of listening or showing empathy, she had an excuse for everything. To make things worse, I was told that to actually achieve the lighter color I originally wanted, I’d have to come back and pay another $250–$300 for a new treatment — as if the first one didn’t already fail completely. The only positive was my stylist, Chris, who was amazing — patient, gentle, and genuinely gifted. She’s not at fault at all. The issue is the owner’s lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic respect for clients. If you decide to go here, be very careful and make sure every detail — price, stylist, and expected result — is clearly explained before you start. This was one of the most disappointing and condescending customer experiences I’ve ever had.

During the practice, she listened deeply — to my concerns, to the vision I had, and to what I hoped people would see when they looked at me. She offered adjustments, options, and guidance. Because of that rehearsal, on the wedding day I wasn’t anxious about my hair — I already trusted the look, the process, and the person behind it. On the day of, she and her staff were a soothing, joyful presence. I laughed, I teared up with nerves and emotion — and Pooran even offered me a glass of wine when I needed to steady myself as the mother of the bride. She had asked to see my outfit ahead of time and curated a hairstyle that matched my dress, my personality, and how I wanted to be seen. From start to finish, it felt like a deeply personal, thoughtful experience. I walked out of Poza Salon feeling luminous, self-assured, and grateful beyond words. Pooran and her team are uncompromising in their talent, compassion, and dedication — they turned what could have been a stressful day into a beautiful memory.

I am not from charlotte area , I was there for a wedding and a relative suggested Proza salon. I have short curly unmanageable hair. The senior stylist (Pooran) took time to know my hair and my needs and lifestyle, and suggested a specific haircut for me. 5 weeks later I’m still enjoying the haircut and dreading going back to my regular stylist in New England. pooran is an amazing stylist . She knows her craft and she is extremely skilled. Her staff were all very accommodating to me since I made my appointment only a couple days before, they fit me in on the day I wanted and I now have a totally new hairstyle that I love and enjoy. I recommend this salon and Pooran highly and will be visiting them every time I’m in Charlotte.

It is the highlight of my week to go to the salon. Everyone is nice and cool. The vibe of the salon is luxurious yet comfortable. My hair is perfect after every appointment and I leave happy.

Went in for a dramatic chop (the first in several years) and had an amazing first experience at Poza! The salon itself is very cozy and welcoming, set inside a little house in the bustling center of Charlotte. The salon was well equipped, well maintained, and nicely organized. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and helpful. In particular, I really appreciated Natalie's kind and positive attitude and the fact that she consistently asked for consent before touching my hair for before and after photos. Cassi was my hair stylist this visit and was extremely approachable and committed to bringing my vague vision to life, taking into account my lifestyle and what I needed out of my hair. She was very easy to talk to and was very efficient in her work, explaining a lot of it as she went along (ex. Telling me about my hair texture, what kinds of products she was using and why, etc). She did a wonderful job on my hair! This salon oozes inclusivity, patience, and a commitment to making customers feel cared for all while offering a wide variety of services for very reasonable prices! I will definitely be returning!

I’ve been coming to Poza since I was a baby! I’m now 21 and they still continue to kill it every time! I just got the best haircut of my life from Pooran and I am obsessed and feel so beautiful! 10/10!
