As an Asian girly with stubbornly dark hair, it is extremely hard finding a hair stylist that knows how to lift it and tone it for that perfect blonde. I've had a pretty traumatic experience with bleaching professionally in the past. Even with previous stylists doing their best, I remember coming out of four different appointments discouraged and insecure about my fried hair that had turned an ugly green and gray color. It was almost as if my hair gave up. Since then, I vowed to never touch or dye my hair EVER again until I came across Haley at Kenna Kunijo. After seeing just how meticulous she was at my first couple haircut appointments, I decided to take a leap of faith and try a balayage for the first time. Naturally, given my previous experiences, I was very hesitant but MS. HALEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! SHE DID THE FREAKING THING. And don't even get me started on her shampooing because I'm pretty sure I had an out of body experience when she started massaging my temples. Even now that it has been a few months, my hair does not feel dry or brittle at all. I honestly feel like a whole new woman. Pictures don't do justice. This isn't just your average hair salon. It is a high quality boutique that is centered around a fully personalized experience with no upsells on products. If you're expecting the lowest price, this may not be the right fit for you. However, if you've been searching for highly skilled stylists who won't cut corners, are transparent with pricing, and are committed to mastering new trendy techniques and tricks, things they don't always teach you in cosmetology school, this is the spot. They may cost an arm and a leg especially in this economy, but ladies, looking good is an investment and feeling good is priceless. Thank you Haley and Kenna Kunijo!

Kenna Kunijo is hands down the best hair salon experience I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, you feel taken care of, welcomed, and in the best hands possible. Every single person who has touched my hair has done an absolutely amazing job — the level of talent across the entire team is unreal. I cannot say enough good things about going to Haley at Kenna Kunijo! I have never had a consistent hair stylist that I loved and now I cannot imagine going to anyone else. I'm sure she has hundreds of clients, yet I always feel like I am unique and treated with care. Every cut feels personalized and thoughtful, never rushed. You can always tell when someone is truly passionate about what they do, and Serina is exactly that. She’s so talented, thorough, and makes the entire experience feel easy and comfortable from start to finish. She’s also incredibly knowledgeable and truly cares about keeping your hair healthy—not just making it look good for the moment. When it comes to color, extensions, haircuts, and the perfect blowout, she is THAT girl. And don’t even get me started… her scalp massages are something you’ll dream about 😍✨ 10/10 recommend! 🤍

I have been with Kenna since before Kenna and Lauren came together to create what we know today as Kenna Kunijo (shout out to baby Kenna in her sola salon days!) and I would never even dream of going anywhere else. The entire team at Kenna Kunijo is amazing no matter who you go to for your services. The teamwork, the atmosphere, the training is unmatched by anywhere else and I would never trust my hair to anyone outside of their salon. I have been anywhere from bleach blonde up through dark brunette and they can do it all! I also look to them for their hair care recommendations between appointments as well as skin care (I’m obsessed with going there for my facials now with Saskia!). They are your one stop shop self care and the new salon is a beautiful spa like atmosphere. 20/10 would recommend!

The entire team was professional, kind, and beyond talented. My results were absolutely flawless! My 17yr old was genuinely thrilled with her visit to Kenna Kunijo. She always has a great experience there, but this visit meant even more with the busy holiday schedule. As her dad, it was wonderful to see her so happy and confident after her appointment.
