I just moved down here recently from NYC and struggled to find a good colorist for blonde highlights. Like, struggledddd. Chavon was absolutely AMAZING. I can't urge you enough to go to her. She's one of the best colorists I've ever been to. She also gave me an amazing haircut, and everything at Roots is reasonably priced. If you're looking for a good cut/color spot in this area and haven't been able to find anywhere good, I feel your pain. This is absolutely the place to go. I am beyond impressed with her. My hair was a HOT mess from a few really bad color appointments elsewhere. Chavon fixed my hair perfectly. I am so so relieved to find this salon. I am also incredibly picky, so trust me, she's really that good.

Cannot recommend Roots salon enough! Kelli gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. She listened to what I wanted and did the haircut in steps so I could give input throughout to make sure I liked where it was headed. Truly my favorite salon experience I’ve had. Everyone I encountered was so kind and made the experience great from start to finish!

The service is top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure I am always well taken care of. My stylist, Zach, is an absolute gem! He is incredibly knowledgeable and always makes my hair look amazing. He makes great recommendations and executes them perfectly, giving me a style that I absolutely love. If you’re looking for a place with skilled professionals, great customer service, and a relaxing environment, this is the salon to go to. Highly recommend!

Went to Roots to get my first balayage done. I was pretty nervous, but Zach made me feel right at home! I love my hair and he taught me how to take care of it on my own. He was able to get my dark brown (almost black) hair lighten to ashy blonde in one sitting! I will be coming back to Cary to get my hair done ALWAYS 🧡 If you’re looking for a place to be pampered and to have stylists who actually listen to their clients, you should come here!

I relocated to North Carolina in January and have had absolutely amazing experiences at this salon with Deanna as my stylist! From the moment I sat in her chair, I felt confident that I was in expert hands. Deanna is incredibly talented—not only does she have a great eye for style, but she also really listens to what you want and offers thoughtful suggestions that suit your features and also incorporates any ideas that you may bring to her. She transformed my hair beyond my expectations. The cut and color have been flawless every time. On top of her skills, Deanna is warm, professional, and made the whole visit relaxing and enjoyable. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. I’m so pleased with the results and will definitely be returning. I cannot say enough good things about this salon! I have been going to Tori for about a year and a half now and LOVE my hair every time I leave. She really takes the time to listen to what I am thinking for my hair goals and always leaves my hair better than I could have imagined.
