Makeup by Michelle HK Kim

I helped plan a wedding, and I reached out to Michelle in September for a December wedding. She responded in two hours! The bride checked out Michelle's work and decided to hire Michelle for herself (no bridesmaids/mothers/girls). Michelle did mention she has a partner, but we didn't go that route. The bride did the bridal trial with Michelle at a studio in San Gabriel. On the wedding day, the bride asked Michelle to push back an hour so she could sleep in more! Then Michelle came back later before the reception for a touch up for the dress change (for an additional fee). I believe Michelle made the bride look SO GORGEOUS. I still can't get over how good she looked!!! Michelle did the hair soo well too. I highly recommend Michelle for Asian faces! (The bride has monolids and did not use eyelid tape for double lids.) Thank you, Michelle!!

I met Michelle at my friend’s wedding. I was one of bridesmaids and got makeup done by Michelle. Her touch was very gentle and subtle. Also she is very friendly and skillful. I loved my makeup that looks natural and fresh. I strongly recommend her.

Everybody specially the bride, was picky and kinda demanding for their look for a special day, but Michelle was very patient and did her job perfectly. Detail oriented, organized everything. It was impressive and realized she is a real professional. We were all happy for our stunning look and yes I will recommend her to friends! For sure!! 🙂

echoing on some of the other reviews about last minute change/missed appointments. I thought I must have caught the artist at a bad time because such lack of professionalism is unheard of, but apparently others have run into similar situations. Confirmed for a trial date, a day before I sent a text to confirm only to found out that she’s out of town for an emergency. called it a "misunderstanding". after confronted with text evidence agreed to reschedule, never followed up, and refused to refund. understandable personal things happen, but totally unprofessional. sincerely hope artist treats other people more respectfully.

I found her through Google for my family photo shoot. Her makeup is very natural but also gorgeous as well. All my family member including me were so happy with the look. Thanks Michelle!

One of my friends refer me for my b day party. She knows what exactly i want and she did great job! Wanted natural makeup but kinda sexy and got many compliments. Gonna hire her again when i have a special event!
