Excellent service and welcoming stylists. I’ve visited twice for a balayage, and each time the results have been incredible. Even though my hair is very thin, they managed to make it look much fuller. They take the time to work with you to achieve the color you’re aiming for while minimizing damage and breakage. I also love that even after the color begins to fade with washing, it still looks beautiful.

Xcellent Hair Bar has to be one of the best salons around!! They have such a talented team that perfects color every time. My color comes out perfectly vibrant, and my hair comes out feeling soft and healthy. The salon is also very clean and welcoming. I’m so glad I have my new go-to spot!

So happy I discovered this neighborhood gem! Jason did an incredible job on my hair - he really listened to what I wanted and nailed the style perfectly. You can tell he takes real pride in his work and pays close attention to details. The salon itself is spotless, welcoming, and reasonably priced. I left feeling so refreshed and already looking forward to going back!

Since it was Tuesday there was no wait time and all I did was walk in and ask for a haircut. Then I asked what I wanted and they effortlessly and efficiently cut my hair. Good service and they were polite. They listened to me and gave me advice to style my hair, prices are fair and quality is good when compared to other places, would recommend.

Saved my hair! I went to my usual hair stylist, but it was clear she had no clue how to do ombré with pink. She’s always done fine with basic highlights, but this year I wanted to do something fun for my birthday. I chose a light pink ombré with my natural roots. My word did it look bad…. I was embarrassed to go outside. The pink was way brighter than what I wanted, and the transition from my roots to the color was atrocious. I’ve walked by Xcellent Hair Bar several times, so I looked them up and saw they had a lot of experience with color, ombré, and all around more of a youthful look. I’m so happy I found them, because they were able to fix my color, blend my natural roots with my pink, and gave me a great haircut. I’ll definitely be back! I’ll include before and after photos 🙂 Edit* I went back, and still had a fabulous experience. This is definitely my go-to salon because I can trust that my hair will come out how I want it to. This time I wanted to go dark red, and it came out great! Because my hair was so light on the bottom before, the bottom lightened up more than I wanted it to on the first wash. I was able to go back and get it a little darker for longevity. Now it’s perfect, and the color will lighten up to something I’ll love. Xcellent Hair bar stylists truly earn the excellence in their name. They’re meticulous, and give you what you ask for.

I had an amazing experience at Xcellent hair bar getting my hair dyed for the first time! I messaged to do a consultation and they were so fast in responding, I was able to go in that same day! I showed Jason photos of what I wanted to do and he was so confident in saying that they could do this for me in one session and explained why it wasn’t necessary to do multiple sessions (I had thought this was the healthier option). A few days before I even changed the style and color I wanted and messaged them asking if it was possible and they said no problem (again incredibly quick responses!) The day of the appointment I went at 10am and was out around 4:45. They did two rounds of bleach and then applied the pastel purple color I wanted. They applied a spray to my head beforehand that made it so I had no irritation on my scalp. The whole process was great! Everyone was so kind throughout as well. At the end they dried and styled my hair and I left the salon looking and feeling amazing! I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair already! Jason also gave a detailed sheet explaining how to care for your hair after the appointment which was super helpful for someone like me who is new to hair coloring. I can’t recommend this salon enough. If you’re new to hair coloring too and are nervous, don’t be! Jason and his team are experts and are sure to do an amazing job. Will definitely be coming back in the future and recommending them to everyone I know!

My friend and I got a balayage and highlights done at Xcellent Hair Bar. They were very easy to get in touch with via text and responsive to questions about their services and costs. They provided another brief consultation before the appointment and checked in with us during to make sure it was what we wanted. The procedure was very smooth and efficient. They had 2 stylists working on each of us. Overall, we’re very happy with the results and highly recommend everyone there!
