The Bird House Salon - Bushwick

I was so glad to find this place. The space is so welcoming and is designed really well. The receptionist was very kind and accommodating when I arrived! I had my wash done with Shoshanna and we had a great conversation about my hair care routine and the scalp massage was SO good. Hailey was so comforting to have at the chair because this was my first time getting my hair cut outside of my hometown. They listened to all of my preferences on my cut and executed it perfectly!!! It was also so nice to talk to them, made the whole morning so lovely! Already booked my next appointment and can’t recommend this salon enough!

I got a hair cut and glass treatment. Kate was very professional and outgoing. I felt comfortable and confident that’d I’d have a great experience and I was right. I’d definitely come back!

Could not recommend this salon more! The space is clean, well designed, and comfortable. But the stylists and staff are truly what make this place special. Olivia went above and beyond in her efforts to make sure she understood my needs and preferences. She explained her thinking and technique to me so clearly and thoughtfully. It’s obvious she takes her craft seriously. And needless to say, the haircut she gave me was absolutely gorgeeee!! And Tristan was so professional and helpful at the front desk as well! Thanks to the whole team for such a positive experience 💕

Hailey Thome is the BEST!!! I truly don’t trust anyone else with my hair. They make you feel so comfortable and give you exactly what you are asking for with your hair but even more elevated than you could ever imagine. They do it all from natural looks to funky fun hairstyles and I can say personally I wouldn’t let anyone else do my calico hairstyle because they always do it PERFECTLY. I always go grab food after my appointments and I INSTANTLY get compliments from the workers every. single. time. It’s the best feeling!!

Going to see Kate is always the highlight of my week! She does an amazing job of listening to my scattered hair inspiration and piecing together a shape that is exciting and right for my hair pattern. Her knowledge in waves and curls is so impressive! I always learn a little extra hair science with her that helps me keep up at home too. The Bird House salon is a lovely space with considerate staff that make it feel warm and welcome. I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

I have been a client of Hailey’s for over two years & I trust no one else with my locks. She is an amazingly talented Colorist, who nails the vision everytime! From icy blonde to fiery ginger, Hailey never disappoints and strives to get exactly the look you’re going for. She is so fun and easy going, makes your time at the salon feel like a hangout & is hands down a hair magician! The Bird House is a GORGEOUS space! It feels so clean, open and comfortable. The views of the city are so lovely, making a very inviting and relaxing atmosphere. From entrance to exit, it’s worth every penny.

I absolutely love how my foilayage with Kate turned out!! I asked for a lived in blonde to brighten things up but be low maintenance. She crushed it and gave me exactly what I wanted based on my inspo pics! The salon itself is also very cute/cozy with big windows and nice natural light (and wifi).
