Bronx ➡️ Brooklyn and it was 100% worth it. This shop is spacious, clean, and super comfortable the kind of place where you can actually relax while getting your hair done. From start to finish, they were welcoming, accommodating, and really followed directions the whole way (and if you know, you KNOW how important that is 😌). 🕒 Open 24/7 💇🏽♀️ Any style $180 🚶🏽♀️ Walk-ins welcome | No appointments needed 💳 Cash & card accepted 🧼 Free hair wash available with your style They specialize in box braids, cornrows, twists, knotless, Fulani braids, French curl braids you name it. ✨ Please note: specialty hair (French curl pieces, curly pieces, human hair) is not provided, so bring your own. I even got to be part of a beautiful moment celebrating one of their 61st birthday 🥹love when experiences turn into memories. After 9 hours of beauty development, I walked out with these knotless French curl braids and babyyy… super cute, super worth it 💕
I visited this salon twice. What initially drew me in were the good reviews. The first time, my experience was just okay. One issue ( I will leave the other one alone) was that the owner overestimated how many packs of hair I needed. I didn’t realize that would become a repeated issue until my second visit. Luckily, the first time I was able to exchange the extra pack at the beauty supply store because I had the receipt. The second visit left a bad taste in my mouth. Before coming, I sent her the picture of the hairstyle ahead of time, confirming the length and the price. She told me it would be $240. When my original salon was busy, I decided to come here instead. As soon as I told her the hairstyle I wanted (and showed the same picture again), she made a facial expression. When I asked why, she said the style takes a long time and that I would need 10 packs of hair !. The last time she told me an amount, I ended up with too much and had to exchange it, which I explained to her. She then suggested I start the style and go buy more hair if needed. Since the beauty supply store was closing early, I bought two extra packs just in case. In the end, my original 4 packs were enough now I’m stuck with 2 extra packs and no receipt. Then came the pricing issue. She tried to tell me the style was $300 and tried to persuade me to switch to a different style because "it takes too long." I reminded her that when I sent the picture ahead of time to confirm the length and price, she told me $240. She then said she only told me $240 because she didn’t pay attention to the text. I explained that she had changed her pricing and that I wanted the style I asked for otherwise I would go elsewhere. That’s when she started mentioning promotions and saying people have told her that her prices change. I told her prices should be clearly communicated upfront if it’s a promotional rate to avoid confusion. Later on she told me that she confused me with another girl and that style that girl wanted would have cost $300 and would have tool long. I don't know how thats possible when I showed the picture when I got in the store. When I got home, I noticed the hair in the back was uneven. I already know the response might be that I was moving, so it’s no big deal. The wrap around the ends was also messy. The first time this was neatly done. To be fair, the girls do braid neatly.with that being said I like professionalism. As you can see I gave them two chances and I waited the second time to do a review which I never do. The picture of the short hair was the first time, done neatly and even.
