Butu's Hair Salon

This is the 2nd time I’ve come to Butu to get my granddaughter’s hair braided. They were very courteous and caring of her being tender headed. I love coming here and will def recommend to anyone.

Such a good place to do hair, quick and efficient, Also had a Tv where it played funny Tv Shows, and one of the lady’s there cared for my 6 year old sister very well, Nice job! My goddess braids turned out so well.

Have gone here a few times. They do a good job. You may have to tell them "not too tight". However they do a good job are timely and have reasonable prices.

So I went to Butu’s Hair salon with a picture of a hair style in mind and a appt set in a week advance and came out very happy. I wanted Fulani braids with added curled tresses. She gave me instructions on the type of hair( 1 pack Freetress bulk wet and wavy)I needed which next time I will be prepared. They do provide the braiding hair which is great. I was in the chair from 11:30 to about 4 pm. I got up and was so happy and have been getting compliments since from everyone on the street to my place of work. Thank you! I will be going again.

I came in as a walk in, They did my braids very nicely and even though I asked for 6 braids and she gave me 8 going back, I liked it even more and it stayed in longer than any other braids Ive had done all year. The only reason I took them out after 15 days was my scalp was itching and needed a good washing. I will go back. this shop is clean and I felt comfortable there.

The women who did my hair were nice. However, I showed them several pictures and video and gave verbal explanation of how I wanted my hair. They said they understood. I expressed how large I wanted the braids. Many many times. They said yes, I see how you want them and they know what I'm saying. My braids are not consistent in size. I wanted full consistent thickness of braids to my mid back before they tapered. Instead I have randomly thinning out braids that are unevenly tapered. The cost was too much for what I got. The bottom of the braids look undone and will have to be worn in a bun for them to look ok. I was tired of explaining how big I wanted them so I paid and left.

Not professional at all. Very rude and judgmental towards customers. I called because I got my hair done at another shop. But that shop was closed I asked the owner before I drove 45 minutes out if there was a charge just to clean my braids up. She stated no and for me to call her once I got outside. So when I arrived I called her and that's when she told me oh it's a charge after I drove the whole way!! I don't mind paying but you can't do that to a customer is not okay. What if it wasn't in my price range. If I could give zero stars I would!! I do not recommend this place at all to any customers who don't want to be ripped off and spoken to with such swears over the phone do not go here !! Plus they do not wear mask and I caught her picking her nose absolutely disgusting and did not wash her hands after using the bathroom
