Gina is amazing! This salon is overall such a pleasure to visit. Very welcoming to all and professional. Gina takes great care of me. She helped transform my look by cutting my long hair into a stunning bob. She gives me great recommendations and even provides snacks not to mention a good laugh. So happy to have found this salon.

If you are looking for an upscale, luxurious and pampered experience, go ahead and book that appointment! These stylists SLAY hair at HER Boston! They specialize in fun and classic cuts, color, and (my personal favorite) growing and maintaining healthy, beautiful hair. I typically have Gina do my silk presses and trims, and she is highly skilled in the art of all hair types, including tightly coiled ringlets for highly melanated individuals. My favorite is the snacks 🙂 Very inclusive and professional staff. I feel like a celebrity when I walk out and wish I could refer more people!

Absolutely love Gina, she really did my hair so beautifully and exactly how I pictured it in my head. I was so anxious about getting a haircut and trusting someone with my hair and Gina literally is the best, you can totally trust her with your hair. My hair looks so good and I felt so beautiful coming out of the salon. Her scalp massage was also amazing, literally made me forget all my problems. Absolutely will be coming back here anytime I need my hair done, and I definitely recommend this salon!

Let me start off by saying I have never really loved my haircuts, maybe for a couple weeks after, but then it’s almost like the magic of leaving the salon and that initial unveiling of my new hair is gone. I’m kinda like wait my hair looked way better styled and everything in front of the mirror at the salon. Now I’m left with choppy layers and this sucks because most of the week my hair is up in a ponytail working as a nurse in a hospital. That was not the case here. My sister has raved about Gina and I thought why not? And booked a new client haircut with her and thought her goes! Gina is quite literally a hair sculptor because she sculpted my thick, stubborn hair into something I freaking love now. It’s been about three months since my visit and I wanted to wait until my hair had grown out, how I liked it up and how easy it was to style down. I walked in and she was so friendly and welcoming. We talked a lot about how I usually wear my hair for work, my concerns, my negative past experiences, and my hair goals. Like I said my hair is very thick and that was one of my biggest concerns because when I’m out of the shower and running to work and let it air dry it gets super puffy and is not cute. She asked if I wanted to try layers I said whatever you think. She gave me inner layers that made my hair half the thickness it normally is and I have never felt lighter and better. It was like a weight was literally lifted off my shoulders. I had walked in with long, boring hair that was growing close to my elbows. With zero style. Gina gave me inner layers to lighten up the volume of my hair and added long layers with long, framing curtain bangs that were so freaking cute and effortless to style. While cutting my hair she kept me engaged with her humor and checked in with me throughout every step on how long she was cutting and where it would end up in length. Then we went to the wash station and she washed and dried my hair and styled me with long curls and you can really see my layers in my finished hair and the BOUNCE that I rarely see from the weight of my hair. I honestly am a new woman and will only be going to Gina from now on so do what you want with that information. Like I’m three months out and my hair has grown out and I’m STILL loving my hair! Like before and after my shower I always give it a look because I’m just still in awe that my hair has given me this new boost of confidence that I really needed. Life isn’t always easy and there are up’s and down’s, but looking good and feeling good is something I’m carrying with me into the New Year and I’m so excited to have met her and found my new hair place. Highly recommend because you’ll be in good hands!

Warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive! Sitting in the salon I felt so comfortable and relaxed, and best of all I was able to experience some sense of normalcy during the pandemic. I got an incredible hair cut and color, and without the stiffness or judgement I’ve felt at other salons. I have very long and thick hair that if often a challenge for hair dressers, and Sarah could not have done more of a perfect job. Highly recommend!
