Hair by HaDo

HADO IS AN AMAZING HAIR STYLIST, PERFECTIONIST, VERY METICULOUS, DETAILED AND PATIENCE! I went to a hairstylist that was recommended to me by my best friend. I have been wanting to get silver highlights and knew that it would be difficult / a process. I have Asian hair that was highlighted in the past but have not been colored or cut in 9 months. I left there with 2" of silver color at my roots and the rest of hair blonde to brownish. My hair in the back was barely any silver. I was recommended to HaDo by a friend of a friend. Every hairstylists I have gone to have never gotten me to the color I have asked for, rather it be red, blonde peek-a-boos only caramel or brown highlights. I live 50 minutes north of Boston, I went for a consult with a board certified colorist, she took samples of hair to see if she can bleach my hair without damaging it. Bad results. Feeling frustrated I figured I would give HaDo a try for a couple of reasons: 1 – he’s Vietnamese, 2 – works on Newbury St. I figured with these 2 factors he must have worked on Asian hair. Checked out his Instagram page, there was 1 photo of an Asian person with vibrant purple hair. It was beautiful! I got to the salon, HaDo combed my hair out, inspected my entire hair to review what the previous hairstylist had done. I knew color correction would be costly and time consuming but after 7.5 hours, I finally got the results I was asking for. He made sure I walked out of the salon with best the result and what I wanted.

I can’t even remember how many years I’ve been seeing HaDo. What I can tell you is that I’d follow him to the ends of the earth! When I first started seeing Ha, I’d been going to another Newbury Street salon that didn’t always leave me feeling my most beautiful. I’d recently gone with a pixie haircut and there’s a fine line with a pixie that’s easily crossed to ‘old lady’. My first visit to Ha, I told him I wanted something modern. That’s exactly what I got and I haven’t looked back since! No more old lady haircuts here! If I get a crazy thought and want to tweak things a little bit, I only have to explain things once and he makes it happen. And my color is always perfect. Always! If I feel like talking, we talk. If I don’t, we don’t. He doesn’t try to sell me anything, or get me to use a certain product. I get a fabulous haircut, rich color, and I don’t pay typical Newbury Street prices. Like I said in the beginning though, if he ever went to a different location, heck, even a different state, I’d follow him there! Thank you, Ha, for being the best hairdresser I’ve ever had!

I have been going to HaDo for color and haircuts since 2009. He meticulous attention to detail makes him the best hairdresser I have ever been to. I have long hair and usually do a full set of foils and he does so many foils so it always blends beautifully and naturally. He always goes the extra mile and will throw a few curls in my hair after he dries it. He is super friendly and fun, highly recommend him!

Hado is a fantastic and talented stylist. He has been cutting and treating my hair for the past 12 years, and I would never consider going to someone else - I even travel to the city to continue seeing him! He has styled my hair in numerous lengths and always provides the best recommendations. When I was getting married, I turned to Hado for all my style tips as well! What I love about Hado is his fun personality, it’s always like catching up with an old friend when we are together Another plus - The Salon is high class, and looks over beautiful newbury Street of Boston, which is just great! Ha Do is an amazing stylist. I have been going to him for several years. I actually have dark brown hair/black hair but my gray hair was coming in every two weeks. Ha Do transitioned me to becoming a blonde and I absolutely love it. I get so many compliments on my hair. The salon is clean and in a perfect location. In fact parking is just a few doors down. I highly recommend Ha Do! He’s the best around!! You won’t be disappointed.

while most barbers and hairdressers rush through a men’s haircut, Hado took his time to make sure my fade was meticulously blended, sides were even, eyebrows were trimmed, and the top cut to the perfect length. His prices are reasonable so an excellent choice for routine haircuts or for special events.
