So, I’ve been here 3 times. The first time was great. I loved my hair. The second time, was okay. I liked it, but didn’t love it, but it was fine. The second time didn't look as nice as it did the first time, but I assumed it was because I went up to medium. I got boho knotless braids all 3 times (first time was smedium and second time was medium). The third time I came was 5 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I just assumed things would continue to be good. I hate that I just now took pictures and was really able to see how badly my braids actually looked the 3rd time around. I work a lot. It was supposed to be smedium, but only the first 2-3 rows are. The rest is large. It also lacks symmetry and the parts are crooked. I requested 1/2 of what I paid back and was told no. She would not acknowledge there was any difference in the sizes of the parts. Even at 5 weeks, I think you can see the how the braider made very large parts everywhere except the first 2-3 rows (which are still neat and clean). For $345, plus a tip - this is crazy work! It was the same braider all 3 times. She didn't seem like she wanted to braid that day, so there's that! I will not advise on whether you should or should not go, but my experience is similar to some others. Truly unfortunate though.

I visited Bow Salon for my knotless goddess braids, and they came out beautifully! I chose small size and butt length, and it only took them about 5 hours. One stylist braided the roots while another finished the braiding down. I took the day off work because I expected to be there all day, but I left in half the time I expected. The efficiency and skill of the stylists at Bow Salon are incredible. Highly recommend

Marie did my braids. It was amazing! I never felt so beautiful. I paid $530 for extra full mid back small boho braids with wet and wavy hair. The hair they used was from ywigs, a brand I really love. The hair bounces back after spraying water and brushing. Shedding was very minimal, which make the fullness last the entire time. Sometimes I brush and blow dry to style it full to look like the kinky straight hair. Once I wet it and brush it, it’s back to looking all new. Then I add some curl hold. Of course the hair started looking older at the roots after a few weeks but the braids itself was beautiful still. This is my new go to style. Absolutely worth every penny in my opinion.

I’ve been coming here consistently for a while now and I can honestly say my hair has never been healthier while still being braided regularly. Before finding this salon, I thought pain was just part of the process but they proved me wrong. Marie and Juliet always check in about tension and are mindful of my edges and they actually listen instead of brushing off concerns. I also love that once they get familiar with you, you don’t have to overexplain how you like your hair every time. It feels personal and professional at the same time

Got this hair done at bow salon. The service was amazing, I have a very tender scalp and this didn’t hurt at all! And you’d think it won’t last, I’ve had it for about 5 weeks now and I can’t wait to get my hair down there again!❤️

I believe in being fair, honest, and respectful when it comes to hair services. Unfortunately, my experience at Bow Salon left me extremely disappointed — and I feel a responsibility to share this for others who may be considering booking. I paid $346 total ($56 deposit+ $290 final amount rendered in the salon) + a $40 tip for a boho braid install. The booking simply stated "human hair/ Godess install" but it was never clarified that only the boho portion was human and the braiding hair was synthetic — a distinction I only learned during the appointment. For the cost, I expected full transparency and premium quality, especially since this was positioned as a human hair service. Within 48 hours, the boho hair began to fall out in full pieces. Not just minor shedding — I’m talking about entire curls detaching from the root, leaving them all over the floor and my clothes. I wore a bonnet, protected my hair, and was in a humid space — but I never swam or submerged my head, and I maintained the install properly. Despite this, the hair continuously shed. When I respectfully reached out to the owner, she dismissed my concerns, assumed I swam, and repeatedly deflected rather than take accountability. She compared my experience to other clients and her own personal experience with the hair implying that my results were somehow my fault — and repeatedly avoided owning any part of what I was experiencing. I never once blamed the braider, who was kind and followed her instructions. My frustration lies squarely with the owner’s handling of the situation. Advice for future clients: • Ask specific questions about the hair: Is all of it human? What brands are used? • Clarify before your appointment what you’re paying for — especially if you’re investing hundreds of dollars • Know that if something goes wrong, resolution might not be handled with empathy or fairness. • Make sure your human hair matches your synthetic hair. I’m not leaving this review out of spite. I didn’t demand a full refund. I simply asked for a refund on the boho portion, which never lasted beyond two days. I sent photos and stayed respectful — and was still met with blame. At this point, it’s not about money. It’s about principle and accountability. I will not be returning. I hope this helps someone else avoid the same experience.

Since I started coming to this salon (almost two years now) my scalp has been recovering from the traction alopecia I got from going to other hair braiding salons. I’ve even travelled to other states to get my hair done but this is the only salon that cares so the most for my scalp. I always get the same hairstyle and after my first three appointments they know exactly how I like my braids- not too tight, no gel and they braid the front part forward so I don’t look bald and also to protect my edges. I highly recommend this salon for those who want to protect their edges if there is any left lol
