Love Blackroom Salon! I had the same hairdresser for years until I moved to Boston and have been so happy with this new salon. Jenn is an incredible colorist! She asked all the right questions and made my hair look absolutely fabulous - the color was honestly better than what I was used to. I usually get blonde highlights and she gave me a very natural looking perfect balayage and blow dry! She even picked up my lunch for me while the color set! Everyone at the salon is great. I have also had a wonderful haircut with Kori — who cut my curls with precision and helped shape my bangs beautifully! I really wanted a hairdresser that does razor cuts - and so many of the folks here seem to offer them! Very hip, very cool, very welcoming! My hair is well cared for.

Absolutely loved the energy n vibes of this salon. it’s so welcoming !! I had a great time with Taylor who gave me such an amazing cut. I loved how we talked through the process n she understood my vision exactly especially with my hair type. She made me feel so confident about my haircut and gave me so many beautiful layers n a side bang. will be back in the future for more hair projects! such an amazing place filled with talent !!

I decided to book with Blackroom after hearing so many positive experiences from friends, and I’m so glad I did. I had an appointment with Taylor Daly, who made my experience at Blackroom amazing! She really took the time to figure out exactly what I was looking for and made sure I was feeling confident with the cut. I have curly hair, and Taylor perfectly understood how to work with it. As a queer person, I felt welcomed and super comfortable in this space. Will definitely be returning!

I was recommended Blackroom from a friend, and it did not disappoint! Celeste was such a great stylist and did an amazing job, I absolutely love my haircut. The vibes were awesome and everyone who worked there was so sweet.

Service: Full bleached blonde (from brunette) with black tips Cost: $575 Time: ~4ish hours From past experiences, I know how important having a good stylist is when going from virgin hair to BLEACHED blonde, especially from brunette/auburn hair. So when I kept seeing Blackroom and Jenn's name show up on every search I made across reddit, facebook groups, yelp and google, I knew that this was the place to go. I booked a hair consultation ($25), which they require before any dye, and I really appreciated that. The appointment was quick and Jenn listened and worked me through my ideas of cut/dye and kept it real with how realistic my ideas were with my current hair/style. They also gave me a ballpark of cost based off our conversation so I had an expectation coming into my dye appointment. The day of my appointment, everyone at the shop was so welcoming and kind, Jenn explained the whole process and we got right to work. She kept me updated the whole time and made sure I was comfortable throughout the intense bleach process. On top of this already great experience, they get +100 points because they let me bring my dog to the appointment which I am soooo grateful for! <333 The only downside to this place is how hard it is to get an appointment with them. But that should go to show how amazing these people/this place is - they are booked and busy!

I had a fantastic experience! I've been searching for someone who knows how to do a great pixie cut, and Kori delivered. She worked with my wavy hair texture beautifully and continually asked for my input and feedback. Jenn did my creamy blonde bleach and tone, and I'm so happy with the color. Kori and Jenn are such talents, and all the staff are helpful and friendly.

Start to finish this was an amazing experience and I cannot recommend Celeste more! I do not know a lot about hair but Celeste took the time to listen to me, give me the exact cut I was looking for, and she taught me how to style my hair/what products to use. Nothing about it felt rushed, and I will now never go anywhere else! Wonderful salon with lovely people! Thank you Celeste and Blackroom Team!!!
