Gene Juarez Salon & Spa - Bellevue

My face met a new friend today with Maribel 😁 I miss the Bellingham salon but I'm a long time Bellevue client and knew their services raise even the Gene Juarez bar. Super comfy bed, towels smelled clean, ample space. My hand treatment + Signature dermaplane with Maribel was professional and pleasant. Coming back. Mahalo!

My daughter entering into high school wanted her first balyage, very blended no streak. Well it was streaky I even asked colorist at the first row as shes painting streaks , um...that looks streaky not blended." Its how the technique goes and how the stylist paints it." Well $300 later I hated it! 2 weeks later it lighted showing streaks worse and a light spot in the back of her head. I was very clear w the stylist what we wanted w picture. Anyhow we went to another salon to have her hair corrected, they did an Amazing job! Gene Juarez take lessons, listen to your client and focus on more training. Very disappointed. The positive side I've found our forever Salon and Stylist.

I had a great haircut with Jacinda. She worked magic on my natural curls! They’ve never looked this good. I can see her becoming a curl specialist. The front desk was also kind and helpful with getting me a discount for my service due to a last minute scheduling change made by the salon. I will definitely come back!

I have been going to Gene Juarez for over 20 years, at Seattle till it closed and Bellevue since. Yesterday, I went for my annual (sometimes bi-annual) visit and had the FABULOUS experience I have been looking for all these years! I scheduled a color and cut online and for some reason it only booked the color appointment. Amy did my color, and not only did she match the picture I brought and what I wanted PERFECTLY, she went beyond and looked into my appointment when I said I was getting a cut done, fixed it, and set me up for a cut with Terek. I cannot express how satisfied I am with the haircut I received from Tarek! From the very start he made me feel pampered, special, and beautiful! The shampoo was wonderful and relaxing he had magic hands and technique. He listened to exactly what I wanted done and made the whole experience fun and exciting! It was exactly what I needed and I am so pleased that my online booking had an error, thank you again Amy for making sure I left happy! I will make sure I only book with Amy and Tarek from now on!

Let’s start with the amazing hair wash experience - warm towels - massage - fabulous then onto hair cut with such precision and care. Tarek did an amazing job breaking down the cut and the finished product was amazing. The whole experience was fantastic. Friendly, caring and comfortable environment - I will be back!

Paige is the absolute best, she really knows my curls and how to cut/style. I have 3c curls and there is no one else I trust more for my hair. Paige is really knowledgeable about curly hair care and that's why I've been coming back to GJ Bellevue for over 15 years. If you have curly hair, I highly recommend her!

I always read through reviews before letting myself experience services, and I was hesitant to book an appointment with this salon after reading some of the bad reviews. I'm glad I forged on, as the experience from the appointment booking to checking-in/out were very smooth. Jeremy, my stylist, was a consummate professional without a hint of arrogance. I have thick and long hair which under an inexperienced hand can end in uneven cut when dried. He meticulous checked every stage of the styling to ensure my hair was perfectly cut (pre-wash/after wash/after dry/final) unbid. He chatted me up in a relaxed manner to find out what I had in mind, never pushy or upsell. Though my experience of the salon is limited to Jeremy & front desk ladies (so sweet!), I'd recommend the salon to others.
