I had a very disappointing experience with this salon. I called yesterday to make an appointment for today, and the appointment was confirmed over the phone. However, when I arrived today, the staff told me that there was no appointment on record. Instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the situation professionally, I was casually told I could "come back in three hours." There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the mistake, and the attitude felt dismissive and unprofessional. If there was a scheduling error, the least a business can do is take responsibility and treat customers with basic manner. Won’t be returning

Mixed feeling about this hairshop. The guy owner is friendly although the lady owner is a little too blunt and stoic when it comes to customer service. My son loves his haircuts here but they messed up my wife's hair which is a big no no. They are open on Sundays with appointments but are a little more flexible also which is absolutely a plus.

I originally visited for a root touch-up and color correction. To cut to the chase, I was satisfied with both the price and the results. I wanted hair like Blackpink’s Rosé, but the stylists in my area seemed to have a poor understanding of Asian hair. The initial estimate was completely different from what I ended up paying, and my hair came out way too brassy. When they told me I’d need to come back for another session because it couldn’t be done in one go, I lost trust and decided to go to a Korean-owned salon instead. My stylist was Yeji. She was very calm and straightforward, explaining from the beginning what was possible and what wasn’t to achieve the Rosé look I wanted. She also gave me a clear and honest estimate, which made me feel confident in her. In the end, I couldn’t do the root touch-up because my roots were too short—she explained that at least 2 inches of growth is necessary to minimize damage. So, we focused solely on color correction. We did about two rounds of bleaching, and for the parts that didn’t lighten enough, she used painting techniques to adjust the color. She didn’t even use toner, so the final cost ended up being lower than the original estimate, which was a pleasant surprise. The entire process took about three hours, and she even finished by styling my hair with a curling iron. I’ll definitely come back here for my root touch-up next time. One small downside was the front desk staff. They seemed a bit cold when answering the phone or greeting customers, but I noticed they were friendly and warm with regulars. Oh, and one last tip—if you’re coming from Manhattan, taking the MTA to Bayside Station is much faster and more convenient.

My husband got his haircut here for the first time by Paul last week, and it was, literally, the best hair cut he’s ever gotten since we met. My husband commented that he could tell how experienced he was by how Paul was handling his head with his tools. It’s been challenging to find a good men’s stylist who really delivers based on your aesthetic, hair type and head and face shape. Great price for a hair wash, cut light styling at the end. My husband will be coming back for sure!

This has been my go-to salon for the past 2 years and they never disappoint! They are always so kind & welcoming upon arrival. I have been cut by Dorothy and Paul and I am always impressed by the end results. I am very picky when it comes to my style and what I want for my cut. When you take that with their experience and expertise in face shapes & techniques, you’re always left with a beautiful result. I love how gentle, precise and meticulous they are! They always deliver!

Paul the owner is amazing. He is very through and does not rush through the process. I would like to update my review I went today October 1st, 20 to get my roots done. I cannot say enough about this salon. The owner is a hair artist. He is extremely detail. My roots look amazing, my previous color has grown in so nicely no damage. Great hair cut. Thank you for making me look amazing.

The salon is very spacious and nice. The owner, designer Paul is the best. He is very skillful and very thoughtful. He spends a lot of time with customers and gives attention to them. I love his work and I highly recommend to others.
