Urban Betty Salon 38th

I've been going to UB to get my hair cut for almost 5 years now and would trust Molly Loveland with my (hair) life. She's cut my hair to shoulder length; she's given me a wolf cut; she's helped me maintain length while preserving shape and movement (the photo I've included is of the haircut I just received from her yesterday). Plus, the entire staff at UB is warm, welcoming, and kind. Truly couldn't ask for more!

I absolutely love going to Caitlin H.! She’s so sweet and friendly, and she always does an amazing job on my hair — I leave every appointment feeling so happy and confident. The entire staff at Urban Betty Salon is super nice, and the salon is always clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Thank you for being professional and cordial. Been going back and forth about whether or not to even write a review but my experience with Maggie Graham for a haircut wasn’t great, especially for $100 for a cut from someone regarded as a level six stylist. I have noticed more as I style my own hair since the cut that it’s extremely uneven; and my friend at work even commented that it’s a bit off in the back. That was mortifying. My bangs on the right side have too much weight removed and the left side has too much weight left in them. There’s a very randomly cut short piece of hair on the right back of my head too which is what my coworker pointed out. Before the cut, Maggie didn’t seem too engaged with the what I was saying and clearly wasn’t listening completely because she cut the layers I had a problem with shorter and back into my hair even after I expressed I didn’t like the way they were sitting as it was. She didn’t talk to me much and it felt unfriendly like she just wanted to rush out of my session. She also didn’t ask what products I’d prefer in my hair but I had mentioned liking kerastase; then she didn’t use any of those products. Overall it’s not like it’s a horrific haircut, it’s just fine and I’ll have to wait for it to grow out to look better, which I even mentioned to Maggie before I left! I had reference images and it is like she didn’t even register what I was trying to accomplish.

I absolutely love getting my hair done by Kat! She is so great at understanding exactly what I'm asking for, and is always upfront about what we can achieve. She curates the perfect blonde for my skin tone. And even my grow out looks phenomenal. I love this location and enjoy the atmosphere of the salon. I highly recommend!

I so look forward to coming here to get my haircut by Kat every few months. She always understands exactly the vibe I'm going for with my hair and asks plenty of questions to make sure we're on the same page. I have consistently loved the results of every haircut for the past year, but this last one makes me feel just so cool. I have so much fun when she styles my curls and they always look so juicy when I leave. The cut always looks so good when I style it myself too, my hair just feels full of life. I love having a good yap with Kat and I feel like she really cares about making sure I'm comfortable and relaxed. She's always willing to answer my questions and explain what she's doing which I really appreciate!

I went to Harsha after a disappointing highlight job earlier this summer at another salon, and she made me feel like myself again! My previous highlights were much brighter than I wanted, with a harsh contrast in the underlayers and a very obvious grow-out line at the roots. Harsha blended everything beautifully and chose a tone that suits my coloring, softens my grays, and gives me a lived-in look that I know will grow out subtly. She’s truly exceptional at what she does. I can’t remember the last time I was this happy with my hair color!

Just wanted to shout out my girl Amy, who's amazing and does great hair!! I always recommend her whenever I get compliments out in the wild... which is a lot with vivid hair, iykyk.
