KLR Hair Salon

After moving to Colorado from Connecticut over two years ago, I struggled to find a stylist I truly trusted. I loved my salon back east so much that I was literally flying home for appointments (which, as you can imagine, eventually became… unreasonable). In a moment of desperation **and full transparency** I resorted to box dye. Yes. Box dye. For a year and a half. We all make choices. When I finally decided I was done being darker than I wanted and ready for professional help, I booked with Kelsey at KLR and I am SO glad I did. First, being able to get in relatively last minute is a huge win for a busy working mom and wife whose schedule changes weekly. The salon is adorable and welcoming, but Kelsey is the real star. She approached my color correction with confidence and strategy (which I deeply appreciate), and somehow managed to exceed expectations I didn’t even realize I had. The color is dimensional, rich, and exactly what I was hoping for. The cut? Effortless and chic. It feels elevated but still wearable - which, to me, is the sweet spot. If you’re someone who has high standards, appreciates expertise, and maybe made a few DIY hair decisions you’d rather not discuss publicly… Kelsey is your girl. I already can’t wait to go back.

After years of feeling bleh about my highlights and haircuts, I am so glad I found McKenna! She is super knowledgeable about thin, fine hair and walks you through her thoughts and vision for you. After only meeting her once, I trusted her to take me from blonde highlights to copper red—and I am obsessed. She is thorough and caring! My hair has never felt more hydrated or healthy. I will definitely be a loyal customer for years to come.

Kelsey did an amazing job! This is my second time getting my hair done by her and it’s just the way I want every time! She matches energy and is incredibly confident in what she does! What i love about her is that she so real with you and doesn’t charge for the little bits and bobs you request like styling after service. I’m not from Colorado but when i’m here and need pampering, i’m always choosing her! Go to her if you want exceptional quality and services!

I am extremely picky about who does my hair, and I hadn’t gotten it done in two years because of that. I finally decided to give KLR Hair Salon a try and it did NOT disappoint. Kelsey did such an amazing job, she truly listened to exactly what I wanted and somehow exceeded my expectations. She doesn’t just do your hair, she genuinely makes sure you look and feel your absolute best. On top of being incredibly talented, she’s kind, patient, funny, and very transparent with her clients, which made the entire experience even better. That level of honesty and care is everything to me. I will 100% be going back to see her and would recommend her to anyone who’s nervous or picky about their hair like I am, especially if you want someone who will truly have your best interest at heart and make you feel amazing when you leave.

Im absolutely thrilled with my hair transformation! Kelsey at KLR Hair Salon completely exceeded my expectations! She took my overly bright, streaky highlights and turned them into the most gorgeous, soft dimensional color that looks healthy and natural. The tone and blend are perfect rich but seamless, and it still brightens my face beautifully. Kelsey really listened to what I wanted and delivered just that! She’s very good at what she does I’m so glad I found her instagram page after I saw her work I knew she would be my go to from now on! I can’t recommend KLR enough!

I got 2 services - a regular haircut and then also brought in my clip in extensions and got them cut with Kelsey. The haircut was great and definitely would recommend for fine/thin hair like mine! Also getting the extensions cut made them look so natural. This isn’t a standard service but Kelsey was so nice and helpful to get it done! Also the salon is cute which doesn’t impact the cut but does make the experience more fun 💁‍♀️

Got my first haircut in over SIX YEARS with McKenna. I was obviously nervous but she walked me through the options and made me feel so confident in her suggestions. (She talked me out of getting bangs because she knew I would be miserable with them, and thank god for her because she was so right haha) But she gave me beautiful layers and a deep conditioning treatment that just made my hair THRIVE. I was so so so happy with the results and I can’t wait to go back!!
