J'ama Hair Studio

My warm greetings to everyone who is reading this review and considering this place as their next destination for a haircut or hairstyle service. It was my first time visiting and getting my hair done at J’Ama Hair Studio and what can I say? My whole experience had been very very pleasant! First of all, I had a chance to meet a lovely lady (the owner) Jhoselin who’s very knowledgeable and helpful in understanding what I wanted to do with my hair. Then I went through the process of scheduling my appointment and getting other details with Melanie, the Salon Coordinator. Everything felt very friendly and professional! My hairstylist was Monica, a person who has years of experience working at different places and big events. She was terrific at going through each step with me, explaining and working on my hair keratin treatment. The whole procedure took approximately 3 hours and left me very satisfied at the end. If you are a Woman reading this, let me tell you something. You won’t regret your time and money spent in this place. It’s absolutely worth it! These Women know their craft very well! I am a male but when I saw the final result, it made me feel so damn beautiful and so feminine! I am still going through positive emotions when it comes my hair and the attention (positive feedback) I am getting. It’s been wonderful! My stylist was Lillian and she was amazing. For my first time at the salon she made sure i was comfortable and talked me through the entire haircut process. The hair wash was also very therapeutic and the products that she recommended really work! I will definitely be coming back here for another trim and recommend others, especially men to try her out for their next haircut. She really is one of the best.

From start to finish the entire service was flawless. Jhoselin is a perfectionist and has an amazing attention to detail. She listened to all of my wishes and hair goals carefully. Not only did she ask what I wanted she also asked what I didn’t want which was so refreshing to hear from a stylist. She made sure my hair was exactly how I imagined. I will be recommending this salon to everyone I know. Such a lovely warm and inviting environment I felt so relaxed and pampered the entire time. My hair looks straight out of a magazine. I had a fantastic experience at J’ama Hair Studio with Monica. She was extremely knowledgeable about the products and even recommended a shower water filter to help with hair loss. Monica listened to what I wanted, offered expert recommendations, and delivered beautiful results. The salon is welcoming and professional — I left feeling confident and happy with my hair. I’ve followed Karen from Bubbles in Pentagon City to here and I cannot recommend her enough as a hair stylist (artist really!). She has always taken her time with my hair, showing me the best products to use without being pushy on the salon’s own products, and is punctual without fail. J’ama Hair Studio itself is a cozy yet very comfortable salon and the other hairstylists and owner have always been kind and attentive to me even when I’m not their own client. More importantly, I feel welcomed in their chairs and like they actually care about the health and outcome of my hair long-term, not just short-term. There have been times when Karen consulted with the other stylists to get a perfect color combination for me, and this style of collaboration from the salon really keeps me coming back. Everyone in the salon cares about every client regardless of whether that client is their own. Finally, pricing and quality are always communicated before and during the service. I know sometimes there can be a sticker shock when going to beauty services, but this is absolutely NOT the case here. I leave every time feeling like the quality truly matches the price I’ve spent.

I recently had my hair done by Karen, and I couldn't be happier with the results! My hair was previously dull and frizzy, but she completely transformed it. Now it looks and feels alive, smooth, vibrant, and full of life. The color she chose is absolutely beautiful and suits me perfectly. Karen really brought out the best in my hair. Her attention to detail and professional touch made all the difference. Highly recommend her if you're looking for someone who truly understands how to bring hair back to life!
