Ashley was very nice and welcoming for my first time visit! I didn’t have much inspiration for her to go off on, and gave her some "creative flexibility." With that, she did a wonderful job in creating a fresh new look! I got a cut and glossed my hair (before and after photos below). Highly recommend if you want someone who follows exactly your needs, wants, and vision for your hair!

Ashley is an amazing stylist! I came in with dark brown hair and wanted to go lighter to attain a more summery vibe. Ashley took note of the reference photo I brought and listened to my concerns, including scalp damage and blonde tones. She asked very detailed questions to make sure we were on the same page. Throughout the process, she was very thorough and professional but kept me entertained with funny stories and her adorable dog Nabi. The final result was exactly what I envisioned, and my hair still feels smooth and healthy. I highly recommend getting haircuts, dye jobs or any other treatments with Ashley.

July 2025: The first 2 pictures are from when I got just a color & style service. I love how my hair turned out! As you can see in the pictures, my hair in the before picture was faded, grown out, and dull. Ashley was able to make it look amazing with the new color and I can’t thank her enough. She is so talented, and you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose to do. I will definitely be coming back!! Highly recommend!! November 2025: The second 2 pictures are when I got my hair extensions installed. I also got a color service to match my hair to the extensions. The total process was long, but well worth it. Ashley also had some snacks that I could have, as well as a drink! Service was a 10/10 again, and I’m obsessed with how my hair turned out. Again, you can’t go wrong with Ashley or anyone else in the salon!

I had the BEST experience at Hong Beauty salon!! I had a magic straight/wave perm done today and Ms. Hong was AMAZING! She gave me exactly what I wanted. She was super friendly, and she was very thorough with her applications. She even explained every step of the process to me and taught me how to style and maintain my hair. I’ve been to other Korean hair salons in Annandale in the past but I fell in love with Hong Beauty Salon! I will definitely be back to see Ms. Hong and Ashley again!

I was looking for a hairstylist to get my hair done and Ashley was recommended to me by a friend. She was able to achieve what I was hoping to achieve, she was extremely professional and I personally felt comfortable with her as my hairstylist! Would 100% recommend her to anyone who’s in need of getting their hair. 🙂

I absolutely love my hair! Ashley is so talented and made the whole experience so comfortable and fun. She really listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly the look I was going for. I’ve gotten so many compliments already; highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who genuinely cares about their clients 🙂

I wouldn't recommend Hong salon unless you can fluently speak Korean. I came in for hair cut + digital perm consultation but was worried about the process on my bleached hair (6 months ago) as I have read on the internet that digital perm is not recommended on bleached hair. I tried to rephrase my questions multiple times to the hair stylist (owner) to make sure digital perm is safe + doable to achieve the inspo picture I wanted. She tested a few strands and told me that everything was fine. Before we do my whole head, again, I told her that I'm okay with just the hair cut if digital perm is not recommended in her expert opinion. She told me everything was okay and we proceeded with digital perm. See attached pictures for yourself. Spent 4+ hours + paid $300 + tips just to leave with shorter hair that looked like just blowdried and not perm. During final blow-drying process, stylist owner tells me to take small section of my hair, twirl with my finger, and do it all over my hear after every hairwash and that apparently, my hair will get curlier as time goes by. First off, if perm is truly effective, one should not need to twirl hair in small sections. Second, hair should be CURLIEST when perm is first done and the curls go away with each wash. Please don't be like me - don't perm if you have bleached hair and don't visit this place if you cannot communicate effectively in korean.
