I’ve been going to Michelle or Jen at Tommy’s for 5 years! Why I keep going back: 1. My wavy/curly combo hair always looks great. 2. When my haircut didn’t lie quite right, they were able to help correct it that week. (Once or twice in five years!) 3. Michelle and Jen give great product recommendations. They helped me find products that help my hair thrive! … When I found Tommy’s my hair was transitioning from straight to wavy/curly due to extensive postpartum hair loss. And at the same time, they are not pushy with the products at all. 4. The staff is friendly and courteous. I bring my 4 and 2 year old boys and they are welcomed and valued. 🙂 5. I prefer to style my hair myself. They have no issue only charging me for a cut, no style. They even put in styling products before I head home to diffuse my hair. 5 stars for Tommy’s! They can book out, so schedule it ahead!

I love going to Tommy Salon. They consistently do a great job, the salon is very clean, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Michelle was fantastic with my mom who was there to get a wig, due to her hair loss for chemo. My mom said it was the first time she felt good in a few weeks! Very impressed and we felt truly cared for!!

My kids get haircuts here, they do so much better then anywhere else we've tried in Ames. And everybody's super nice too.

Came here only because it says walkins welcome. Walked in, was told they don’t have any openings, was told I couldn’t schedule an appointment until a month from now because they’re fully booked. Why have "walk ins welcome" on your door if you’re not going to be able for over 3 weeks?
