Hair Screen

We have lived in the Boston area for over 20 years, and for the first time, went there for a haircut for me (adult over 50) and my college bound son. We both loved our haircuts. The owner/salonist is meticulous. My son took a picture and she cut her hair as he hoped for. I just gave her an old picture and she did even better than what I hoped for. We can honestly say that that the best haircut we've had in our lives. I'm Korean and my son is multi-racial, and she worked with both types of hair perfectly. Also, she squeezed us in later in the evening well beyond what she needed to do. Thank you! Highly recommend.

I've been coming here for the last 5 years for my haircuts. The proprietor is a lovely Korean woman who speaks little English but always seems to understand exactly what I want done to my hair with the assistance of a single cellphone photo and a little gesticulation. Haircuts cost $35, which is a steal for Boston. And she's always on time as well, I don't think I have had to wait more than 15 minutes for my haircut to start.

This place is bare to basic, and could use some updates to be more pleasant. One time, I quit my errands prematurely to make the appointment on time. However, the stylist was attending a customer. so I patiently waited. To my surprise, she started with another customer after that. So I asked when she would finish with them and ready for me. She replied another 20 to 30 min. Then I told her it would be too late for me to pick up my children and told her that I drove 50 minutes to make the appointment. Without a hint of apology, she said "Then wait or come next time, it is up to you". If was absolutely rude of her. That was the last time I went to this place.

I arrived at 6:25pm for my appointment at 6:30pm on July-13-2022. She was working on two persons and one left at 6:35pm and she started working on the second person. Then, she told me to wait for 10 minutes presumably to finish the second person. I do not understand this kind business manner. She clearly double or triple booked me. Not acceptable and I don't believe it was done mistakenly. I left and she said sorry in Korean.

Last week, I went to this place to get a perm. It was first time to perm on my hair. I had no idea what to do. She helped me to choose the style which fits on my face. She was so friendly and professional. Also, the price is reasonable too! I love my lovely perm hair!

Fair price (compared to other places in Allston Brighton) and easy to make appointment. Haircut is okay as long as you don’t ask for anything super fancy. I recommended this place to a bunch of friends
