I took several days before writing this review trying to avoid this but I feel I need to share my experience after several people saw my results and my overall unhappiness. I have visited this salon twice now and seen two different stylists. The first time was not great but I could live with it and I have no issues with the salon itself so decided to try someone new this time. I went in with a long grown out balayage from the last time I came to this salon and showed the stylist the picture circled in red for length/style inspo as I wanted some more color near my face and the pictures in blue as color inspo. I was here for four hours for a full balayage with gloss (added on, said this was to tone?) and cut/style. I paid over $300. These are my results: -harsh lines, not well blended -Chunks/lines uncolored mainly near my face -The length ended up being a bit shorter than I wanted -The back of my hair looks almost the same as when we started Overall just not a balayage in my opinion. I am now scrambling to find ways to wear my hair to hide some of these very noticeable mistakes. I've included pics of my before in front of a window and my results in regular lighting and in front of the window (taken the next morning, I did not rewash or style before taking the pics and I left with just a blow dry, no style as another client came in and the stylist had to go) as well as the exact pictures I showed the stylist for inspo.

Cat does it again! I absolutely love coming to salon deZEN, I book my appointments 6 months out so that I know I have it all in place and literally makes my whole month! Everyone is so kind and helpful, I ask a lot of questions to make sure I understand everything and they’re always so patient. I see cat and have for about a year and never come out dissatisfied, I get so many complements and my hair feels and looks healthy and gorgeous! 1000% recommend!

I loved this salon - I worked with Violet and she was so sweet and listened to exactly what I wanted, was honest about how she could make it work for my hair (which I’m so grateful for since it needs to be realistic and sustainable for my lifestyle), and overall did such an amazing job. I asked for a lot and she delivered, and even taught me how to style and care for my new bangs. I also got an amazing scalp massage from Solzhe during my shampoo. Loved this salon and I only wish I lived in the area so I could keep coming back. The icing on the cake was that the service was so reasonably priced, which is not usually the case; I’ve paid much more in the past at other places and not nearly as satisfied. 5/5 thank you I feel amazing!

This was my first ever trip to a salon to have my hair done. From consultation to execution, Violet was simply amazing. She was welcoming and thoughtful, has a great personality that made the time go by in a flash, and just generally matched my vibe. She also was just really great with helping me visualize what my hair could look like and then, of course, getting me there. I will for sure come back and see her!

I have been to this salon twice since looking for a new hair stylist and I can confidently say that I have found her. If you ever decide that you want short hair that is a bob style then be sure to make an appointment with Catherine. Back in August she did an introverted bob on me and this time we went with a A line type of bob. They both looked great on me and I continue to receive many compliments. Thanks for being so greet at what you do Catherine.

Caroline did the most gentle and smooth waxing experience I have ever had. I am a 56 year old woman who is very hesitant to get waxed. I got my arm pits, my legs, and my bikini waxed before a vacay to Costa Rica. Caroline did a stellar job and made sure I was confortable and relaxed. The experience was easy and no pain involved!
