Karma. Honest Business. Customer Service! I see all these good reviews and I must say I must’ve came on a bad day. I left VERY DISAPPOINTED, OVERCHARGED, and TIRED!! I asked all the right questions before I took the appointment(do I have to come shampooed, is hair included and I even asked the price of the different lengths) I was told the price would range from $250-$300 which I was going to be paying at a different salon where I had already paid a deposit. But between my friend and Isha I was begged to come to this place. My friend said good things about Isha honestly plus Isha kept calling hyping herself up. She was persistent! When we started @approx 8(3 braids were done when she asked what time it was because she wanted to keep track. It was 8:10 so we said start time was 8). She proceeded to do my braids. She kept mentioning how tired she was( but keep in mind she practically pursued me to come to her to get my hair done even after getting home at midnight the night before) I asked her was she gonna get help and she stated because business was so slow she would be doing the braids herself to keep all the money. So that decision along with how slow she braided made the time longer. Throughout the braiding as she opened a pack of hair she would call out a number. After like the 3rd pack I became curious and asked(are you charging me per pack of hair? Which means HAIR IS NOT INCLUDED!! I could have brought my own hair and a better brand/texture. The hair she used for box braids was tangly and cheap. I’ve never went to a place where they said hair was included but charged you. I chose to have the hair length long passed waist to top of lower back. That was an upcharge as well. My braids that she stated was going to be small were smedium with huge knots at the top.She claimed they were small but they were absolutely not. I was charged $550!! $550 for a bad braiding job. I have NEVER paid $500 for braids and I’ve always had good braidera. Never been charged per pack, and never been surprised at the end of a braid job by such a huge price upcharge! Isha and whomever she kept calling are not honest business women. The lady first told her $400 then Isha called her back and you could hear her say "I don’t know we started at 7:45 and the lady then told her to charge me $550. I was sick! I was very angry and disappointed. I told her my braids were too spaced out in the front, the front part was huge. She said she would change it but never did.. I had hair showing out the braids because she didn’t clean them up. The braids in the middle were so stiff because she didn’t put the hot water rag on the inside braids I later had to do it myself to relax the braids enough to put in a ponytail. I asked her to cut and clean my braids up she just stated it was my hair which I understood but in order for the braids to look better, the extra pieces had to be cut. What I didn’t realize is the entire back, once the braids were opened, had lots of hair showing outside of the braids. Isha knew I was not happy. She gave me a card to return and I told her I would never return there. She called and wanted to make things right by saying if I was to return she would give me a discount. I do not want a discount I want my money returned! I was so heated when I left and when I spoke to her on the phone. The fact that she tried to tell me "I said" I wanted medium braids, when she was the one who told me my braids had to be small because of the length of my hair I even asked if she was going to help me to take them out, then she mentioned how long it took her(her decision to work alone)along with how she kept calling someone so they could tell her what to charge me all is crazy! I believe in good customer service, being honest and upfront. Integrity. The next day I went to get the front of my hair done by someone else. Neater, smaller, knotless. Day 4 Isha’s braids in the back were falling out and were really frizzy like I had them for a month already and not 4 days.

Ms Iesha is the best braider in the DMV. She does an amazing job with each design I request and takes her time to ensure my braids are done correctly. Her prices are also extremely fair for the service she is providing and she’s made Hawish a one stop shop by partnering with Klassic Cutz to ensure you can get a cut right after your braids if necessary.

Very friendly. Great Haircut and I got my hair washed as well. Highly Recommended!

Very great at what she does, whenever you can get in touch with her, very unprofessional when it comes to communicating. Prices change constantly, got my daughter hair done one day for a price, went back the next week for the same style and the price had jumped 30$. This one i will definitely say never again and I do not recommend her services!

Isha was very professional and did a great job in transforming my hair coarse hair. I usually go to the Dominican shops for my blow outs but Isha did not disappoint. I think my hair was even straighter than what I normally receive. She took her time to make sure it was... especially, the edges! I will be back! And her prices were reasonable.

I highly recommend getting your hair braided here! They offer shampoo and blow drying service (amazing). Very clean atmosphere. They were able to take me same day and had me in and out 4.5 hours (including shampoo & small/medium braids)!! My stylist Christy was very fast and efficient. My parts are crisp af and braids are PERFECT. 10/10 will definitely come back again and again! Thanks Isha & Christy!

Isha did a marvellous job on my braids. I showed her the style I wanted and she was able to duplicate it. She was very professional and she took care of my hair in a minimal amount of time. Thank you Isha!
