For my first time coming here it was an amazing experience. For this being my first time having her do it and having the hairstyle that have naturally I wanted to protect my hair and she was able to execute this hairstyle by adding weave . She blended my hair just like I asked her to blend it and as you can see it turned out awesome
I will say this...never will I allow this other woman that's NOT the owner to touch my hair again. Yes this is at the new location and hopefully they get their official sign up soon. I paid a whopping $350 for medium knotless braids (HIGHEST I'VE EVER PAID) even though I bought my own hair, additional hair products (which they didn't use) and although I'm 6 months pregnant with other important expenses. I was cordial throughout this ordeal even while half my hair was being mistreated by this other lady. The owner and I spoke beforehand and again in the shop numerous times about how I needed my natural hair done/treated (due to the dissatisfaction with the rough lady helping to finish my style). I was only told on the phone $35 for wash and condition but wasn't given the other prices and they aren't easily available on the site nor on the phone when asked. The work done was split the entire service by the owner and another young lady who to be honest was unnecessarily rough and very unprofessional to the point where half my hair looked astronomically different from the other (healthier looking) side where the owner had better technique in general. Every year I get knotless and purchase my own hair from a specific black owned establishment (which received many compliments while others were walking in the shop). I complied to be on IG Live while owner does demo for my braiding and additional experience video at the end to tell others "I'm satisfied with the service and highly recommend.." The braids were nice once completed but when she told me the final price after HOURS of me checking in asking so I can zelle it over and I saw $350 (which she didn't even say aloud only typed it ON HER PHONE) I asked her HOW she got to that figure?! Even though I'm composed this was no doubt overcharging and further ruined my experience. Did my best to smile through everything. I'm no novice to getting my braids done either, which she's aware because I came in for a takedown. Til this day I can tell there's a less streamlined look on one side where that other lady mishandled my hair throughout the service (yes I addressed it DURING service and pleaded to the owner with respect I only wanted her to do my hair, but she still had the other lady help "saying they'll go slow".) Bottom line I shouldn't have paid $350. Our Baby Shower is in a few weeks I'm praying this style lasts until then.
Iasha is the best! I told her what I wanted and she delivered. She did what was best for my SHORT HAIR and I LOVE IT!!!! I will definitely be back.
She did a great job with my stitch braids! Great price, quick service, and easy scheduling.
I just got my hair crotchet with her and it was beautiful. She did an amazing job and I love it very much.
The quality of work done was awful. This is what my box braids look like after 36 hours. The owner tried to blame me and my hair texture but I’ve had braids before and it usually takes a few WEEKS for my natural hair to start coming out of the braid hair. They charged me $200, and not only is the quality bad, the braids are way longer and thicker than I asked for and the picture I showed them. I asked for bra-strap length and got HIP length. So not even what I asked for AND poorly done. My birthday is this weekend and I’m going on vacation next week, and I explained to the owner that I don’t have time to get them redone. I asked for a partial refund of $50. The owner said she didn’t have $50, which seemed really strange to me, and she offered $20. I asked when I could get the $20 and she rushed me off the phone saying she would call back. Surprise surprise, she did not call back. Had the owner done anything to take responsibility, i wouldn’t be leaving this review. I am a huge proponent of small businesses, especially Black owned and women owned business but the quality of service I received was abysmal and the way it was handled afterward was even worse.
I’m really selective in who I allow to touch my hair. The ladies here are awesome at what they do and very knowledgeable. I came in for a retwist of my locs and also got some color. I’m more than satisfied with the outcome and I’ll definitely be back! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get a clean and fresh style. Prices are reasonable and they are also very fast so no having to dedicate your entire day! 10 stars!
