Cynthia Santana Hair Studio

I just moved to Alexandria from Florida back in November. While wrapping up my life in Florida in December, I also got a stylist in Florida to install 3 rows of brand new Bellami hair. By the next week, my middle row was falling out. I contacted many salons in the area and received poor customer service or excuses as to why they couldn't fix the one row that was falling out. Cynthia's Hair Studio was on my list to call and I'm so glad I did. She offered to get me in on the Friday, the week before Christmas but unfortunately I was already planning to fly out to TN to spend time with my family for the holidays. She got me in on the first appointment after the holidays, did a phone and virtual consultation via her online form and was super nice with tips and tricks to keep the row in a stable condition to hang on to the last bead on the ends. When I arrived to the salon, she instantly made me feel at ease because she approached my hair issue in a way to create art and completely transform my hair. We added hair to resolve my blending issues and she was able to repurpose my existing hair that was practically brand new even though the previous stylist cut it shorter than what was needed to cover my whole head. I walked out with a confident, new look and she far exceeded any expectations I had. The salon is warm and inviting. She has awesome neighbors (other stylists) and I already have my maintenance appointments booked. 10/10

I have been going to Cynthia for around 8 years and would highly recommend her. She has helped me to repair my hair that was damaged from other stylists prior to me going to her. She is also a blonde specialist and ensures to set realistic expectations with how blonde you can go to ensure the integrity of your hair is maintained. She’s also amazing at weft extensions and again ensures the extensions won’t cause further damage if your hair has been damaged. She also makes appointments fun with her amazing personality.

Cynthia is an amazing stylist and overall great person. She has gotten me to a blonde that doesnt yellow. I love my look. She keep my hair healthy as well.

Update- I wanted to give Cynthia an updated review because she is still killing it when it comes to helping me with my hair. I’ve never had my hair be this healthy and it’s thanks to her treatments & her product line. Recently I finally got around to having her do the High Liss hair straightening system and I am sold for life. Even in this humidity this atrocious summer, my hair dries practically straight and I don’t have to subject myself to blow drying. As a busy mom, this time I get back to myself is also practically priceless. Don’t think twice, go to Cynthia! I got another great haircut by Cynthia. I went to her for the first time earlier in the year, pre-Covid, and loved my cut. She gave me great advice and following really made a difference in my hair and scalp’s health. I came back this time for an all over color and cut. I showed her different pictures of color jobs I had seen and she was able to guide me to the right one for my features. Cynthia is not only meticulous and fun to work with, she is also following all sanitation and safety protocols. I felt extremely comfortable getting my hair done in her studio.

I have been going to the same hairdresser for 18 years and I was ready for a change but the idea seriously scared the mess out of me. Starting from scratch, finding your new hairdresser was a daunting task to say the least. I scoped out many hairdressers before I heard of Cynthia. I found her on Google but really fell in love with the work she showcased on Instagram. I am definitely one of those people who follows their gut and I just knew I had to set up a consultation with her. Next thing you know she was doing my hair. One of my favorite things about Cynthia is that she pays attention to the details. Your hair is a display of her work and she wants it to reflect and demonstrate her expertise. I love that she genuinely cares about the integrity of your hair and wants to give you a fresh look while restoring/maintaining the health and beauty of your hair. She uses quality products and even used a vegan cruelty free product on my hair & I absolutely love it. She is up-to-date and in-tune with what's current. Cynthia is also trained and certified in Hand tied extensions which is AMAZING! She is one of the few in our area & I would say is reasonably priced. I have personally had one row of hand tied extensions by Cynthia and she did an exceptional job! She is so extremely talented and I am very grateful that I found her! Cynthia is truly a gem!!!
