Heather is amazing!! I went in with hair half way down my back. I wanted a short haircut but was undecided which style would best suit me. Heather took the time to ensure it was exactly what I wanted. She was very professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend The Hair Company (Heather).

I and my son have been going to Heather for years now and truly appreciate all the stylists and their work. They have always treated myself and every one that comes in with the utmost respect and courtesy one would expect from a place of business, all while having a laid back and fun atmosphere to boot. While tiny and tucked away in a small strip mall, it's truly a hidden gem of a salon.

Have been seeing Lydia here for my haircuts since I moved to Albany. Lovely little shop with plenty of parking in the shared lot, always clean and friendly, and Lydia does a fantastic job with my short hair.

I Highly Recommend this Salon! Heather takes pride in her work, and her personality is amazing. I was wearing of starting fresh at a new salon but it was the best decision I've made for myself (and my hair) in a very long time. Thank you Heather 💕

I have a lot of hair and requested layers to thin it out. Spoke with stylist the day before on the phone to discuss medical issue and accommodation, and determine if we could reasonably accomplish the cut. I offered to come into the salon with wet hair because I cannot use the sink. She did not advise me to come in with wet hair, but made several comments about how my cut was difficult due to my dry hair. To which I replied we could wet it quickly, but I could not tolerate the shampoo, she declined. Stylist did not listen to me tell her that I have wavy hair and it was straighter because it was second day. The most she misted it, the wavier it got, because I have wavy hair. I received an uneven hair cut, with unblended layers in some sections, which I evened and blended at home. Half way through my cut she washes out color from another client, which is fine until She starts sharing brushes between myself and that client without disinfecting them. The two stylists then began to gossip about a teenage client and her mother who had just left the salon, loudly discussing how dirty they are and that they smell, and the client next to me joined in. Bullying and bad work. How fun!

Heather and her team are fantastic. She is accommodating, thoughtful and insightful… always open to discussion about latest trends balanced with what fits my personality and hair type!!! Highly recommended
