I have been going to Dawn for over 20yrs. She started my locs on the 2 separate occasions I locked my hair. She’s PHENOMENAL!!! Great energy, very accommodating, knowledgeable, well priced and incredibly professional. I recommend anyone looking for a new hairdo, a new you, go see Dawn.

She is a Sweet lady, I will not take away from the initial customer service !! but I’d say if you have thick coarse hair do not get a silk press from her.. the Dominicans get my hair straighter with just a wash and set. When I showed her she told me it looked fine and there was no way my hair went from straight to poofy in an hour. She had no options for me I even tipped well . No way anyone should pay 60 dollars for 1 hour of short hair .. I didn’t even get pics

I highly, highly, highly recommend dawn she is absolutely amazing a true definition of a stylist anyone looking to learn how to treat and care for their hair has a place here. I found dawn at a time when my hair was neglected and uncared for I did not know how to properly take care of my locs and she helped me figure that out and gain confident in my hair. I had bad run in with stylist here in Albany and struggled to find someone to retwist my hair. Going to other stylist I’ve always felt really anxious and uncomfortable I would start to cry and get really bad anxiety with dawn I have never felt that going to her shop feels like home. I was new to my loc journey and finding dawn was the best thing to ever happen to my hair she is absolutely amazing and will help make my crazy hair dreams come true. I randomly walk into her shop asking her to dye my whole head blonde and she doesn’t hesitate to cheer me on or when I asked her to sew in over my locs and even though she hasn’t done it before she’s risen to the challenge. Truly an amazing person an absolute angel and there is not a single silent moment in that shop she’s talkative, joyful and fun I love talking to her. I never thought I’d get to experience a healthy and close relationship with a stylist but I have and I am forever grateful for her. The best person to ever do your hair I promise.

Dawn is an excellent cosmetologist she has knowledge, skill and pure natural talent. She also has a cool personality which makes getting my hair done by her extra fun. She has given me a haircut and added some hair extensions within the past seven years. Top Notch!

She is the absolute best and has been doing this for a long time. She knows about hair and she is a true professional. Love her vibe and would definitely recommend that you book your next hair appointment with her.
