Hen Shack

Viviana has been doing my hair for over 20 years and she is FANTASTIC! To the point where I moved to Austin for 10 of those years and would drive back to Abilene just for her to do my hair! Viviana is extremely talented, friendly, professional and fast! I usually get highlights, lowlights, wash, condition, cut, and style…most of the time being there less than 2 hours. She’s been there with me through my fun, short hairstyles and my hair growth journeys. She’s great with any cut, style, and colors I’ve asked for! This is my most recent before and after. I love my hair and Viviana is the reason for that!

I made an appointment with Viviann for 10:00 last Sat. morning. I drove in from Dallas & wanted to get my hair done for an event that evening. I arrived there at 10:00 & Viviann was not there. They called her & then told me she would be there soon because she didn’t live far. Viviann comes in at 10:20 with such a bad, terrible attitude. She told me she didn’t remember making an appointment with me & doesn’t know who I am. It was an attitude of I did something wrong & why was I there. By her attitude & what she said to me, I did not want to pay her to touch my hair. I left. She was not apologetic in any way. How did I come to The Hen Shack at 10:00 for a hair appointment by Viviann unless I talked to her? Bad place & I do not recommend. I chose this place because they had a good rating on Google. Too bad I chose the wrong place & didn’t get my hair done. I wish I could give zero stars. A friend was with me & we were appalled at being treated so badly!!! I am just one person, but do not go here. Not professional at all!!! I see you tried to apologize on here… but not to me!!! You are very dishonest. You never said you were sorry. You were walking to the back & said "wait" or something & I said I was leaving & my friend told me she would try to help me with my hair. I said that because there was NO WAY I was going to let you touch my hair after your attitude!!! I had to be somewhere at 11!!! I get so angry if I even think about you!!! You are in a service industry!! Don’t try to come across as a "nice" person… because you are not a nice person!!

I love it here!!! Viviana is the absolute BEST!! No matter how blah you may look and feel going in, she has you feeling like a million bucks when you're headed out!! She has blessed hands. Please book with her, I PROMISE you will not be disappointed! I love my hair. Thanks Viviana!

It’s been YEARS since I’ve had my hair professionally done, I’m so thankful someone as skilled as Ann got to tackle the chore of cutting, dyeing and styling. AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

Sage is excellent. Friendly, quick, and does great work! We started going to her for women's hair cuts and will continue to rerun.

I recently moved to Abilene and have been looking for a hair dresser. I went to the "Hen Shack" and met Ann. What a great find!!! I will definitely be coming back here! Ann was great and all the ladies there were so friendly and helpful! Boutique was beautiful as well. If your looking for a great place you need to come here! Thank you Ann for being soooo nice!
