Very clean , everything is organized, the hot bar could use more flexibility in options. The butcher side and pizza bar are fresh, plate lunch are well stacked and great prices vs the hotbar.

Christmas Eve: sent my 17 year old to get a piece of filet to cook for her tonight. See the pics of what they sold her for $41.99 per pound. Shame on you! Funny that the owner responds only to 5 star reviews and takes no responsibility on the shortcomings….

I had a genuinely disturbing experience trying to eat at Whole Foods, and it made me seriously question the company’s values. Whole Foods markets itself as "whole," mindful, health-forward, even aligned with slow food and intentional nourishment. Yet the in-store eating area (at least at this location) is placed in what can only be described as a sensory war zone: right by the registers, the entrance/exit, the microwave, carts, returns, people hovering, stopping, starting, talking on phones, rushing, and crowding. It is an objectively hostile environment in which to eat. Constant motion, noise, and foot traffic make it nearly impossible to relax, enjoy food, or even digest properly. I found myself shoveling food in simply to escape the chaos as quickly as possible. This isn’t a minor inconvenience — it’s a fundamental contradiction. If you are going to sell "wholesome," "nourishing," and "health-conscious" food, then the environment in which customers are encouraged to eat should not actively undermine those very principles. Eating requires calm, space, and a sense of safety. What’s offered instead feels transactional, rushed etc It becomes hard not to conclude that, despite the branding, the bottom line takes precedence over genuine care for customer well-being. Providing seating in such an inhospitable location feels less like a service and more like an afterthought or check the box approach to "offering" a space to sit. This experience left me feeling disrespected as a customer and skeptical of the values Whole Foods claims to stand for. If the company truly believes in nourishment and wellness, it needs to reflect that not just in the products it sells, but in the environments it creates.

It’s fine for small grocery items but it has become pretty expensive again (Whole Paycheck Market). The Amazon returns here though is an awful experience. The Amazon returns area staff are rude. They don’t like you using the returns machine but I constantly deal with Amazon not receiving my returns when the staff perform the returns. I never have that problem with the automated machine. The Avon location is such a better experience.

Let’s cut to the chase on Whole Foods. It’s an ok store but in general is overpriced and caters more to the top 20%. Many of their 365 products are quite good and can compete with mainstream brands. The over abundance though of organic products can be a challenge. Want a simple gallon of reduced fat milk, nope, but if you want organic at $7 plus they have it. The butcher department has some nice offerings but at a 20% markup to Stop &Shop, Publix or Albertson’s. Ah, but you have to remember this store is for the top 20%ers. One does have to applaud them for their takeout food court but it could use more attention to detail to keep it looking clean and neat. As a whole it’s a solid store but there are a lot of others to pick from that are much more wallet friendly for the same quality.

I took a two day trip to West Hartford, CT; to visit a 97yr. old dear friend of mine, Ms. Doris Artist. I stopped at Whole Foods because I've always loved their selection and the array of products that are always on shelf and well stocked. I brought some pastries, vitamins, some of that gorgeous smelling soap, a body cleanse or as some may say, "A Rejuvenation." Either way, "New Life," has a product to help get those toxins and radicals out of your body that keeps you feeling weighed down. My purpose of going in was to get either a Spinach or Carrot juice but looking around, I was so impressed and forgot my main purpose. Oh, well it happens to the best of us!! Always stop in this store when you're in West Hartford visiting. Why? Because you will always find something you need or desire! "Whole Foods Market," is the representation of what a market should always look like, - "Clean, Well stocked in Produce, Vegetables, Bread, Desserts,- must I go on?..... I love this store anywhere it's located and I'm sure you will too. Naomi Tucker - "Turtles!"

Overall customer care, store ambiance and the available parking are close to top notch. Trying to locate specific items if you don't know the layout can be a challenge - maybe better signage can help with this. Spotting a store assistant, to ask, is not always straightforward for infrequent visitors. The main oddity I pick up on, with this location, is when you're inside and decide you need a cart, you need to exit and then enter again.
