Golden Land Asian Market

This places has the most horrible owner…. Extremely disrespectful. I had parked in front the market today, planning to go to the nail shop first, and taking a peak in the market after. As soon as I stepped out of my car, I was approached by the owner with his phone in his hand recording me asking in a rude tone, "how long I was gonna be parking there". I answered that I didn’t know, and that I was about to get my nails done. He got closer to me while still recording me telling me that I cannot park there and that I would need to move to the back parking lot. Mind you they were more than 8 empty spots to the right of my car. I had asked why, and he answered that these were 20 minute spots and that I needed to move again. At this point a car had parked to the left of me, so I had asked if she had to move too, and he said yes. This man proceeded to follow me to my car while continuing to film me…. And did not ask the other woman to move who also went into the nail salon with me. I definitely wouldn’t spend my money there, especially after being asked to move as soon as I stepped out of my car.

Good food, good prices. Love the new pot too! Small shop with lots to offer. The owner was very helpful and kind. Closest Asian Market to where we live (an hour south) so we'll be back again! Thanks for helping me put together dinner tonight! (pics included) 🙂

Great market. Store is so pretty and fresh. Sweet and salty snacks. Coffees and Drinks. Sauces and Seasonings. And lots more. The owners are very sweet and friendly. It feels like a small town shop. Great selection of frozen fish and other good foods. Also a quick place to get in and out for a drink or snack.

Nice small Asian market. Decent variety. Owner very helpful, always makes suggestions to help.

I love supporting local and small businesses. However I felt pushed to buy things I was simply looking at and felt rushed. Almost like I was being profiled. Hopefully this can be a learning opportunity for this business as not everyone has Ill intentions. I do understand that fear though seeing as it’s a small business. Quality goods, pushed onto me or not.

I am disappointed. I went to buy the chickens, 2 for 18.99 and even asked the store owner if the chickens are the hard ones (stewed hens) or the soft ones and he said soft. Because they were freshly killed and bagged, I couldn't tell. I came home, cleaned the chickens and boiled one for noodle soup. I had a feeling they were thr stewed hen's while cleaning them but I gave them the benefit of doubt since I've asked him. Unfortunately, they are not the regular soft chickens but the hard tough ones. I had to boiled it for 4 and 1/2 hours in order to serve the chicken for my children so they can bite into it and to add to the noodles. I would expect owner to be honest. I will not be coming back because I could have easily spent $10 to $12 for 2 stewed hen's somewhere else.
