Trader Joe's

I have always loved the welcoming spirit at TJ's, whether I'm at the San Jose or the Stockton location, but this visit to the Stockton TJ's will be forever etched in my memory as the gold standard of customer service and connection. What makes TJ's special is that the crew members make you feel like part of the crew. I’ve had amazing, personal chats at the checkout: sharing colonoscopy tips and tricks with one cashier, swapping hiking app recommendations with another, and even being offered a chocolate-covered gummy bear from a crew member’s own haul! This visit was pure joy. I was chatting with Sharon and Abby, and, completely charmed, I admitted they must hire people based on good looks because they were both so beautiful. We laughed about the worldwide phenomenon of the canvas bags trending everywhere from London to Tokyo—it was just genuine, fun gabbing. Then came the astonishing surprise. Unbeknownst to me, Sharon and Abby had decided to gift me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. The sight of it instantly reminded me that I had a second bunch of flowers tucked in my shoulder bag that I'd forgotten to pay for! Before I could even fess up, they broke the news: both bunches were free for me to take home. I was absolutely awestruck and so joyfully surprised that I gave them both a big, happy hug. I walked out of that Trader Joe's feeling ten feet tall and buzzing with happy atoms. This was more than just shopping; it was a deeply heartwarming, personal experience. Sharon and Abby, you embody the heart of TJ’s magic. Thank you for making my day and turning a routine trip into my all-time favorite visit!

Normally I love this store. However, on New Year’s Eve, I drove from my home in Lodi to Stockton, in the rain, because I was in the middle of a cooking project and realized that I was out of a particular spice I needed for the recipe, one that only Trader Joe’s carries locally. Once I got here at 7:30 p.m., the store was closed, even though the sign on the front door clearly states (see photo) that the store is open until 9—every day. False advertising! Of course, I’ll be back, but right now I’m not feeling especially happy.

Love TJ's. Manager gave me free package of buffalo chicken meatballs after I told him previous ones I tried weren't good. Was packed on Valentine's Day. Always great service with a smile.

The place is quite complete and busy on the weekend. The fruit, flowers are fresh. Many items are organic. One thing I like to come here is to find the frozen ready to eat foods.

My favorite store! I'm always buying something new or trying something I wouldn't normally buy, but that's the beauty of this place, it makes me feel like I've been missing out on "the good stuff" every time I find something just little differen, it's usually healthier and always fun trying new things. Always positive vibes at this place, excellent people, prices and service!

TradersJoes is a favorite for me as I am gluten free and soy free. I can find plenty of food and treats that are safe for me.
